Cheers Wiggy!  I give most of the credit to segamer for his stellar work.  Amazing what guys like you and he can do with your artistic talents.  TCP's lucky to have such talent on board. :)

Anyway, I can't remember who was requesting it, but here's Barker Bill's Trick Shooting.  Sorry just the one cover for now, I'm too emotionally drained to start work on another cover after watching the Seahawks game.  I just knew with only 31 seconds left the Falcons were going to drive.  Just ONE more defensive stand is all we needed. *sigh*  :(

I'd originally written a nasty comment about the work being stolen but I changed it to be nicer. None the less, it's to be expected. I was like... damn.... it was taken before we even finished. In the future, I'll send you work via PM. That way it's at the very least gets finished before being auction off.

I have mixed feelings about this sort of thing too.  From what I can see they used your work to make a "reproduction" Flintstones 2 box (but made to look real/legit) box?  I think in the future we're going to (sadly) see a lot more of this.  I won't speak too much more about this, as this is the thread for NES covers, but damn..!  As these sellers master their "craft", I think in the future it'll be hard to tell the real thing from the fakes.  Or if somebody has a really nice box, people might assume it's fake, or has been reproduced... :/

Sneak and I have been pimping this site out as much as possible on NintendoAge and interest seems to be growing among new collectors who realise the boxes for these titles are getting to be outrageously priced but still want a nice way to protect and display their collection, so enter TCP.  We've also been spreading the word there about Seymor's cases so hopefully we can generate some more interest for him as well.

I do what I can.  :)  We'll see if we end up with more users in the future...

Anyone put any requests in for SCAT?

I personally have been looking for raws for SCAT for a few months now.

I've been asking around for scans, and may have a line on somebody that will scan their box for us.  I hate to get anybody's hopes up, as a lot of times these don't pan out, or the person seemingly forgets/ignores.  Time will tell.  It's definitely on my "list".  :)

*** - Big shout-outs to WolfAlmighty & Segamer for all their work thus far in 2013!!!  Plenty of stuff to be optimistic about for this year.  Great jobs on F2 & Gun-Nac gents!!!  - ***

This cover is for someone... I can't remember who requested it. I tried to be as perfect as Almighty Wolf.

LOL!  Your cover is great, mate!  I don't know why you'd compare yourself to me, when you're the one with the actual talent for this stuff whereas I just basically clean.  Granted, it can sometimes be quite a task to clean, but what you do takes artistic skill, like being able to make a big vector of the NES seal and logos and whatnot, whereas what I do just takes a lot of patience.  At any rate, great job!  You might consider also making a full retail cover to go along with it since those seem to be gaining popularity as well.  Also great work on the Immortal cover (forgot to thank you in the other thread)!

Are you the one that made that seal?  That's the seal I've been using ever since I started making covers but I was never sure where it came from.  BadChad gave me a link to it but he couldn't remember where he got it, either.  If it was you, then a thousand thanks to you!  You've saved me quite a bit of time not having to clean up seals as well as making them look good as they were on the day they were new!

I tell you, this community kicks some serious ass! ;D

I didn't even notice. I used the template provided by the site, created by Shenske. I'm surprised that his template uses that seal as Nintendo didn't change it until the Wii era. I should mention that I found a typo on the template. Maybe it needs a small update. I'll fix the seal tomorrow.

Really, I'm happy if my cover look very similar to the originals. However, I've noticed your attention to detail (which is well beyond my own standard). You go as far as trying to the get the gameplay screenshots as exact as possible as well as the font. So, to me, you set the standards. I tried harder this time around to get my screenshots to be as identical to the originals as possible but... Plus, you go as far as making two versions of your covers. I almost did so but then became too lazy.

Well, thank you for the compliment!  I actually don't get new screenshots on most of my covers, though, but obviously for ones like Gun Nac and F2 where the back was created from scratch there was no other option.  A few others I made new screenshots for were Ms Pac Man and Danny Sullivan's Indy Heat because in both cases the screenshots on the back were scuffed or messed up beyond normal repair (and if I redo one screenshot, I'm going to redo them all or I'll feel as though I just half-assed it ;D ).  Beyond that, and the SMB3 and LoZ screenshots I made for Shenske, I don't think I've redone any screenshots.

The font thing, though, yeah I do try to get the font as close as possible.  Sometimes it's just not feasible to get the EXACT font used for whatever reason (for example, I used Lubalin Graph on most of my SNK covers, but the actual font they used has slightly shorter stems on the ascenders than Lubalin Graph) but I try to get as close as possible.  The ones that piss me off the most are the ones that use variable kerning on each line because I have to adjust each line individually instead of as a block.  Thankfully, most covers use one of only a handful of different fonts (and nearly all of them use Helvetica for their legal text) so it's uncommon for me to have to spend a lot of time getting the correct font, and at this point it's easy for me to recognise the common ones at a glance. Still, I feel bad if I don't do whatever is within my power to clean and recreate a cover, so it's nice to know my attention to detail doesn't go unnoticed. :D

I think it may have been me.  :) Or at least this was among the carts I own without a cover.

Thanks (yet again) for the great work Segamer.  You and 'Wolf are tearing it up lately!  :)
