... I don't think I ever read the book growing up, but I somehow doubt Tom Sawyer had a run-in with the Loch Ness Monster

;D

Well, it makes about as much sense as F-117A being able to properly simulate 'the intense pressures that gripped America's Gulf War pilots'.  But hey, that's why we love Nintendo games, isn't it? ;)

I haven't been nearly as productive as Wolf but I've been meaning to do this for a while.

Maybe i'm just way too OCD. That huge pizza promotion is a real eye sore. I had to piece a few things from the pal version to get get Donnie complete.  Obviously not retail but it looks much better to me.  I replaced my custom cover currently on the site with this fix.

I know what you mean with the pizza offer thing.  On the Chessmaster box it says it has an offer for some sort of chess magazine subscription (didn't even know there was such a thing until I bought this box  :o ) which kind of looks dorky, I guess, but oh well!

Anyway:

Silk Worm - This one took some doing...I wasn't able to use the cartridge scan to fix the bottom-right corner of the artwork so I made another attempt at removing the stubborn label from the box.  A handful of cotton swabs and some spritzes of a carcinogenic adhesive removal spray later, I was able to get *most* of it off, but it took some rather liberal use of the healing and cloning tools to make it look presentable.  I'm pleased with the results, at least, lung cancer notwithstanding! :D

OT - 'dorky' isn't flagged as a misspelling by Firefox. ;D

Glad to hear it! The covers with artwork that wraps over to the spine are always a challenge so it's nice when it turns out well. :D

Anyway, bonus cover!

Captain America and the Avengers - I know BadChad has wanted a cover for this one for a while, so hope this one will work for you, mate!  I didn't retype the picture captioned text because I have no clue what font that is, but the rest is all new.  Enjoy!

Its not a complete remake but its still a major upgrade.  Here it is lined up with our other SMB covers.

Looks better, but the blurry areas annoy me a little, did you have problems with the scans? I own the box, and even if it is a bit beat up It is not in to bad of shape and I could scan it for you.

I was reworking the cover we currently have on the site. I would gladly take a new scan for the game. The "blurry" spots you speak of were on the clouds to make them look fluffier and not so rough.

Talking about reworking covers here's the version I made for my Bad Dudes copy... I didn't recreate the snapshots from the back of the box on this one because of the lack of ripped sprites.

EDIT: The missing yellow ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM under the Nintendo logo on the front is present on the cover, is just that I didn't update the 3D preview.

Hey guys!

Sorry I haven't posted any covers in a while, but as I mentioned in another thread I picked up a Wii U recently and, well, Mushroom Land needs savin'! ;D  I have a dozen or so more boxes that I got in recently to do covers for and I'll be working at them for a little bit every day, but it's probably going to take me two or three days to crank out a cover (more if they're in ugly condition, although most of the boxes I got in were in decent shape).  Anyway, just wanted to give you all a heads-up so you know I'm not abandoning anything, just loving the U at the moment.

Oh, and I might as well drop off the cover I just finished since I'm making a post anyway:
