How long have waited on this... ;D

I agree!  I'm not sure if Lumberjack is still putting together a Solar Jetman cover (if he is you can bet it'll be 10x better than mine :D ) but either way this will hopefully serve a purpose.

And, as for artwork that spreads to the spine, wait until I update the Mad Max scans tomorrow... er, today... whatever. :)

Oh damn, I just took a lot at the earlier scans you made and I forgot this also had artwork on the spine.  It looks like I'll have to move the title down for the retail as well since the top M would be cut off by the Nintendo logo.  Ah well, where's the fun if there's no challenge, right?!  ;)

Glad you like the cover, guys!

Looks good to me! Sorry I haven't posted an NES cover in a while, kinda got obsessed with the Atari 5200. Mainly because it is a whole lot easier to get a complete collection.

Cheers!  You don't have to apologise for anything, mate...you are responsible for many of the covers that inhabit my wall-of-doom so you don't owe anyone an apology.  Definitely appreciate all you've done for us all. :)

But, if you still have NES covers to make, feel free to just get good scans and upload the raws.  If there are any there that I'm looking for I can start working on them myself.

Now, back to the issue at hand: Mad Max.  I was able to make a fairly decent Full Retail cover:

but I think making a retail cover is beyond my ability.  I don't know how I'll be able to replicate the bushes and ground behind the title on the spine.  I've even gone so far as to download the highest-res movie picture of that scene that I could find, and not only are the colours different than the NES version, the resolution is still wrong (and the picture on the NES box itself is rather blurry and somewhat low-res...pretty much the same way the Rambo box is).  I'm just unsure how to rework the spine and save the artwork while repositioning the title and adding the Nintendo logo at the top.  If any cover artists/gurus have any idea as to how to make this work I'm all ears, otherwise I think I'll just have to settle for using a solid colour spine (the same colour as the back) for use in my own collection.

Also, sorry for the slight moiré on Max's face and neck - as I mentioned the picture already started out relatively low-res so it didn't take too kindly to resampling when I downsized. :P

Edit: Thanks a ton to sheep for allowing me to make a proper Mad Max retail cover:

EDIT: Here's a folder with all the vectors used (you need to download them for better quality).
