Wolf, just wanted to take a second to say thanks for the sudden surge of NES covers. I've been able to check quite a few off my list in the past few weeks thanks to you. Hope to see much more of your work in the future!

You are both most welcome!  I'm having a lot of fun putting them together, especially when I can see the final result.  Definitely a time-consuming process, but well worth it when I can see them all up on my wall-of-doom.  I'm just happy I'm able to help out this community, even in this small way.  Epson's rather happy as well, given how much I spend on ink and paper! :D

Sidenote - I notice that on the City Connection cover, the cops, balloons, and oil cans are shown, yet oddly the cat that everyone seems to detest is strangely absent.  I guess having a game where a cat is getting launched into orbit by a speeding car would have made a somewhat disturbing cover, eh? ;D

Awesome job! Looks better than the box itself (and not just because the box is a little beat up)

Cheers!  I'm glad you like it! :)  I've started work on Indy Heat but it's proving to be quite an undertaking, with the tape on the front and whatnot, but I'll get it done.  The back won't be as much hassle so once I can motivate myself to finish the front it'll be smooth sailing from there.

Anyway, got some more covers worked on.  Mostly games about flyin' and shootin' this time.

Destination Earthstar - Oddly, this game doesn't have a barcode on the back, but rather it's on the spine (the right-hand spine, which is why it also doesn't show up on the Full Retail cover)

Bonk's Adventure - Many thanks to Sneak and PegBoy for the scans on this one.  I'm thrilled to finally be able to put this one in a UGC!

Awesome job Wolf. Thanks as always!

Just curious, how many more NES covers do you currently have in the pipeline?

I like the NES covers.

Might I request BONk cover with the front's top and bottom bamnners removed?
I don't think that it would look to streched?

I'm impressed Wolf.  Less than 24 hours after I post the scans for Bonk's Adventure, you've already got it finished and posted.  Thank you.  I'm not sure if it's "TCP worthy" (quality-wise), but it's good enough for me!! :)

Anyways, I'll keep you all posted in anymore scans I can find in the future.  I've still got about a 15-20 NES carts that could use a cover.  My next focus will be finding scans of "Mighty Final Fight" hopefully (NTSC version)..

Happy to be able to be a contributing member to the community!  :)  This site has been good to me.  :)

*jaw drops*  Wolfie, I hope you work on my scans when I post them (as soon as the boxes arrive).  Your work... humbles me.

Right now I only have two more boxes of my own; Freedom Force and Hook.  As I mentioned in the last post I'm working through Danny Sullivan's Indy Heat but it's taking extra time to clean up the front so it might be a while on that one, but I'll get it done.  Arseen can hopefully get me scans of Othello and Stealth ATF which would round out my next five.  I prefer posting them in fives so it doesn't seem like I'm spamming the thread. :D

And thanks for the compliment! Glad you like 'em!

Oh yeah, when I saw your post I was just putting the finishing touches on Destination Earthstar and was going to work on F-15 next, but the idea of having a Bonk cover was too tempting to pass up so it got moved to the front of the line. ;)  I was going to post everything later today instead of when I did because I didn't plan on finishing F-15 that day, but it was a fairly clean scan so I figured what the heck (again, I like posting them in sets of five).

LOL, well I'll definitely take up Solar Jetman and Mad Max if nobody else wants to, as I've needed covers for those for a while.  I don't own Rolling Thunder (I only collect North American licensed releases) but if you guys need a cover for it I can put it on my list.

And thanks again everyone for the compliments.  Knowing I can help you guys out makes it all worthwhile. :)

Alright, just a small update of two covers this time guys.

Hook

I'm posting only two for a few reasons.

1) I'm out of boxes of my own to scan. :( So I'll have to wait until next month when I go on my next game-budget-spending-spree before I can buy more.

2) Some supernatural force was trying to prevent me from finishing Hook because my computer froze up about ten times during its development, not to mention the few times GIMP decided to crash on its own.  During the stage where I applied the colour gradient to the background of the cover I couldn't save it since I had to do all the text retyping and whatnot all at once and I ended up having to do that FOUR GODDAMN TIMES due to system crashes before I could finally save it.  Then as I was just about finished with it all, it crashed while I was saving the FR version which caused the file to corrupt so I had to redo the FR spine again.  I figured I had better upload this cover now before the gremlin in my computer eats it, or I get fed up and take a 12-gauge to the damn thing (whichever comes first ;D ).

3) BadChad was looking forward to Freedom Force. :D

So anyway, that's all for now, folks.

Would anyone have NES hook manual in great condition so that annoying Sony logo could be edited out.

Great covers BTW.

If not I just ordered CIB copy.

Cheers!

What, you don't find the big honking SONY logo covering a quarter of the front artwork to be aesthetically pleasing? ;D  I do have the manual but since you have the CIB coming it sounds like you got the situation under control.
