I rebuilt what I think is an even more accurate screenshot for the cover I'm using on my scanavo case.
Comparison:

I hope it helps!

Looks good, I was eyeballing it from the back of my box, the only comments are 2 of the flying beetles have their wings up when they should be down, and the right most cloud should not have the spiral in it.
I love how Mario is about to run right into the beetle in font of him and get hit. Itt's like how he is jumping into a wall and a pit of lava on the SMB 1 front cover.

Here's the first, with the beta World 1 map.  I did the third as well, but since it's already done no sense in posting it (I didn't see the bubble in front of Mario's mouth either since the picture I was looking at wasn't big enough to show it...I couldn't d/l the cover from here to compare because the downloads weren't working).

Original 256x240 with colors fixed to the NES palette:

One more thing too...
The word "MARIO" on your screenshot is too squished. If you see WolfAlmighty screenshot, you'll notice the word "MARIO" is a bit taller.

Thanks for the observations, fixed the wings, the cloud and added an extra pixel to the word MARIO.

And those are all done with sprites, damn talk about nice work pumanchero, love that we are redoing new higher res screen shots :)

Speaking of artwork found this while browsing for Sony Recordable VHS artwork go figure, it's by someone named Reza_CHUNWOOKIEE. Seems they are custom replacement labels for Super Mario Brothers & Super Mario Brothers 2 (USA)

When I downloaded them, says both are 299dpi so thought I share them.

Hey, everyone.  I finally got access to a scanner so I could scan in a few boxes we don't have covers for yet.  Unfortunately, it doesn't have a derasterise option so it looks like it's still a no-go. :(  Nonetheless, I scanned and put together a few placeholder covers until I can get access to a scanner with a descreen capability (or until someone else does the covers properly).  At any rate, they're good enough for me (for now at least) so I thought I'd share them with you guys in case any of you needed placeholder covers for them (click the pictures for the download link).

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (Taito):

AD&D: Hillsfar:

Ninja Crusaders:

Dragon Fighter:

I have three more boxes I can do covers for: Burai Fighter, Motor City Patrol, and Dusty Diamond's All-Star Softball, and I plan on doing these soon regardless if I have access to a better scanner or not.  Right now I have over 80 NES games without covers that are getting teased by the games that are in UGCs (I never knew NES games could be so mean :D ) so I'll do what little I can until something better becomes available.

Thought I'd reupload this one since I can't find it in the thread that it was originally from. This is retail Super Mario Brothers 2 made by larryinc64, and it's so much better than the one hosted on the site, very vibrant and alive instead of dull and boring.

If larryinc64 has an updated version that makes it to the site I'll gladly delete the link, just thought I'd upload it for anyone that needs it  ;)

I'l post a link in my Box account soon, Looking at it there are a few small things that need to be fixed, nothing big, I have retail covers of Kirby's Adventure, Battletoads and Double Dragon and some Mega Man games. I have black spine versions of them too like the covers below.

These actually arent too bad. Its the blurring thats the worst. Otherwise, the rest could be cleaned up in a few minutes! Flatter scans would be better. Id love to see Ninja Crudasers, Dragon Fighter and Burai Fighter up on the site. Retails would be cool too! ;)

I remade the mega man covers a few pages back. I already have the retail versions good to go I just haven't upped them yet.

Cheers!  I got them as flat as I could, or so I thought.  I unfolded the boxes and then put a ream of paper on top of them before scanning.  I was afraid if I put anything heavier on them I'd break the platen. :p  Ninja Crusaders has blurring in the bottom-left corner because the box is crushed there so I tried to flatten out the cardboard as best as I could before scanning.  Otherwise, which ones should I re-scan (due to blurriness...any moiré I have no way of fixing, sadly :( )?

Yeah, its the creases that are always harder to get flat. I dont really care how much weight I put down on my scanner when I take my scans, so I always stand over it an push down with all my weight to get them nice and flat. Not good for the scanner but thats a sacrafice Im willing to make lol.

For the most part, Indiana Jones looks pretty good, but AD&D, Dragon Fighter, and Ninja Crusaders could use some rescanning.

BTW, Im about to start working on that Terra Cresta cover in just a few! :)

Ah great, looking forward to the Terra Cresta cover!

For the others, I completely redid the back of Ninja Crusaders and AD&D from scratch (minus the screenshots) so those should be fine, so do you just mean rescanning the fronts?  Dragon Fighter I didn't redo the back because it's not actually a solid white or off-white, it actually has a slight texture to it so I couldn't just wipe it off and redo it in a solid and therefore I just left it as scanned.  I'm reluctant to put too much weight onto the scanner, but I guess I can push it down a bit and it won't ruin anything.  I hope.  ;D
