@BadChad
Thank you very much for the Double Dragon II cover. Just put it in my 'need to print' folder

No problem! My roommate just recently got his hands on a boxed copy and ours looked liked it could use some updating. Plus DDII is easily one of my all-time favorite NES games so I felt like I had to do it! I was going to redo DDIII aswell since Ive done I & II, but the box I have to scan is kinda faded on the front.

Enjoy!

I like the SMB3 preview, but I think you need to change the color of the background or the color of the font on the main image. Blue on blue doesn't work just because you put a red outline around the font!

Agreed, and also I think front/back/spine titles should look same.

I was considering making the logo Yellow on the front, because the original boy is yellow with blue font, so a invert could work. White or multicolored like the SMW logo may work to. I may change the front to the spine logo, but I found a HQ pic of that before I posted it so I did not change the front yet. I may make 2 versions with both logos. I'm still playing around with it. I'm also working on similar ones for 1 and 2.

Thought i'd give my take on this cover. I always wanted a cover for this game that closer matches the label.  The front artwork is vectored, all back text is typed out and screen shots are from an emulator (images found on google from some rom site).  The barcode used is from the "Super Mario Bros. / Duck hunt bundle with the Zapper"  ;D   This is just about as crisp and clean as it gets.

Another VERY low rez cover that needed a re-haul.  I used the old one as a base to know where to put everything. I used all new images for the shield and other images.  Text has been retyped, pretty much nothing is left from the old cover.  You can download the cover right now as i have already replaced the cover from the site. I plan on doing the Classic Series version & Zelda II next  :)

NICE shenske! I've been hoping to see that one for a while. I rarely reprint covers, but those sorely needed replacing! You talk about doing the classic series Zelda II... Any chance of doing the original version as well, or a classic series Zelda? How much work would it be to have all the variations?

Sweet job, Shenske!  I recently reprinted my Zelda cover because it bugged me that it didn't have the developer logo at the bottom (neither did Zelda II), but this one looks much better!  Looking forward to your Adventure of Link cover so I can reprint that as well!

There will be a total of 4 covers, 2 being remade and 2 new versions  ;D

I'm planning on making:
Legend of Zelda (Retail) ****DONE****
Legend of Zelda - Classic Series (Retail) ****DONE****
Zelda II - Adventure of Link (Retail)
Zelda II - Adventure of Link - Classic Series (Retail)

Good stuff! Looking forward to seeing the others. Did notice a some dust that got missed on the crest and the screenshots tho. It would be cool to see full retail spines included aswell as the seal variants to finalize all the Zelda games for the NES once and for all.

If its the spots I'm thinking of on the crest; I thought they were intentional to make the shield appear worn. I'll double check it after work.

Thr screen shots were from a new box scan. I was  trying to find better screen shots from an emulator but wasnt having a great amount of luck finding the correct shot. When I find tge correct screen shot ill replace them.

True retail spines were never really my thing but ill see what I can do. :)

forthe screen shots, maybe you get get a sprite sheet and rebuild the screen shot?
