Incase you didnt know, I actually updated our Mega Man 2 cover with a much better one updated by Akumu a month ago or so. The one you used in your preview looks like the old one before it was replaced. Check out the new one if you havent already.
Well shit sticks ....... I'm still moving ahead on my project since they all need replaced

EDIT: Hmm upon further investigation .... Akumu's cover is a retail recreation (retyped text & such) and IMO seems a bit too high contrast. On the other hand mine is a high quality original scan, perhaps higher quality, of the box that has been cleaned up. (I don't know if i'm subconsciously trying to convince myself if mine is better even though it very well may not

). I'll chew on what to do with the my cover

I am actually working on my FIRST NES cover for this site right this moment (been mostly doing easy stuff like custom covers for Atari 2600 for the past few days). Would you mind giving me some quick bullet points on things you do to really clean up the artwork (like you did with mega man)? Currently I heavily use the clone tool obviously for imperfections, some "smart sharpening" techniques, the burn tool to make the color pop a little more and on occasion a very lite Gaussian blur. Looking at your covers and lumberjack's - it looks like you guys are going a LOT more in depth with the restoration than I am. I haven't heavily used Photoshop this much since the late '90s, so to say I'm rusty and have forgot most of what I know is a definite understatement, but I'd really love to help more and contribute to this site, so if you could give me any advice I'd greatly appreciate it!
I'm no miracle worker. I had a new scan of the box that was much clearer than the original cover that it was compared to.
We have a very talented group of cover makers on our site and as time progresses we all go deeper into striving for perfection. We are definitely turning into a preservation site and i'm glad to be a part of it.
