Im actually going to be uploading a Joe & Mac and Kiwi Kraze cover soon. But we defiently need a Power Blade cover and Id love to put it together. Unfortunetly all your scans have some pretty bad bluring and moire effect. Any chance you can rescan the Power Blade box with some wight on it to get a nice flat scan? I always press down with both hand on the lid of my scanner to get a nice flat scan.

I can do that, BadChad. I won't bother with kiwi Kraze and joe & mac if you have those under control. I don't have the greatest scanner, and I did put a book on top to weigh it down, but admittedly it wasn't a very heavy book. I will try again soon.

Just as I heads up, as I see other people posting raw scans in this thread.  I posted up a bunch of NTSC NES raw scans (that currently aren't on the site) - in the NES Raw Scans Thread - http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=4470.30

Included are:

Alien Syndrome
California Games
Captain America
Captain Comic
Family Feud
Gauntlet II
Ghostbusters II
Image Fight
Kid Niki
Mappy Land
Ring King
Zombie Nation (a rare one I was happy to find!) :)

Good luck.  I'm happy to finally be able to be contributing to the site.  I see that the main page is finally having some new covers, so I figured I'd do my part and get some scans up!  :)  Thanks in advance to anybody that can make a few covers out of them!

FYI, this is not the place to be posting raw scans. I probably should have mentioned that to Pikmin but I was distracted with needed scans. ;)
They should go here:

Well the Power Blade scans are better. No more blurring, but your scanner gives a pretty grainy moire effect on the front. Im not sure if its just a setting you might have on or not but I dont think its something I could fix. I hate to be a pain in the ass, but I really would like to get this cover on the site (love this game) so would you be willing to scan again under some different setting to see if you can get a better result?

Sure, I'd be willing to give it another shot, BadChad. Can you suggest any possible setting changes? I have been scanning at 600 dpi. That's all I know. I use an HP Deskjet 2050, if that helps.

Im not sure. I just know that some printers have different options for scanning. My scanner gets them just right on the default setting for 600dpi so I guess it depends on the printer?

It's not the dpi that's the problem if it's moire then you need to turn descreen/derasterize on somewhere in your scanner settings.
2 + 3 = 23

California Games

Joshua: The Battle of Jericho

Any chance I can encourage you to make true retail versions of your NES covers as you make them? I would be awesome if we can get the artists to start making both covers as they put them together. Plus it a little more difficult for someone to make a true retail cover out of one thats already finished rather than having the psd. I plan on going back to alot of my older covers to make true retail covers to go with them. If we have both, that pretty much scratches that game off the list for good. Thats why I always make vertical covers to go with my SNES covers, even tho I dont use them.

Any word when your NES covers start popping up on the site?

I think you had few that I need, jut can't remember what they were. ;)

And how are the US or Euro style Crisis Force and Gradius 2 covers covers coming  along?
