Sorry to ask this but when this rule was put with the custom spines and not the official ones? It was a problem with the copyright or something? From my point of view the both are perfect but I will go with the original spines. |

I use the older format with the banner, but they have started making covers more retail like, withou t the banner on spine. |

Long long long ago when Arseen and me were just young little coverproject noobs it was decided that we use the special NES spine on all of our NES UGC covers to make them look nice on a shelf. Everyone is free to make a normal spine version too. Still the ones with the spine logo should always be called retail because other than the logo all the artwork is retail and we decided once upon a time that retailness should be considered when the artworks/legals/barcode are retail. |

Thanks tiktektak for the info ;D Anyway the both are good but I will go with the normal spines. The great thing about the spines with the logo is that you can create them using the title of the game and some colors instead of the retail one that can have problems with the cleaning. |

Personally I like having a consistent logo on all my cases, thus why I like the logo with my NES, SNES and even the N64 retail have consistency. |
