Heres something a little different. Figured this was the best place to post it.

If anyone is aware, Star Tropics for the NES was originally packaged with a letter to Mike from his uncle printed on a special parchment type of paper. At a certain point in the game, you would be hinted by your uncle to dip the letter in water which would then reveal a hidden message with the code "747" required to activate the Sub-C to escape the island and finish the game.

I decided to recreate it from scratch to make my copy feel a little more complete. I included the secret message exactly where it would appear in a very light grey text just visible enough to read to keep the hidden feeling. The size of the letter is just the same as a standard peice of printing paper so it should fit just fine if your printer is capable of getting a little closer to the edges.
Would we have any interest hosting something like this? :)
Akumu:
It's part of the packaging of the original game so I don't see why it shouldn't be posted here. Like a label or pack in map, as long as it is part of the original packaging.

StarTropics and its infamous letter always makes me think back to the days when video rental stores started using those Permastruct laminated instruction cards instead of giving the manuals out with the games (likely because the manuals got destroyed within the first few rentals). Imagine what a kick in the sack it must have been to rent StarTropics and get stuck in that one place because you don't have the letter. Guess that's what Nintendo's 1-900 game counselor hotline was for.
Arseen:
Definitely that belongs to our site

Not just the phone number. (According to Wikipedia) Nintendo Power go so many letters about that one part in the game, they made a mini guide for it in their magazine.
That whole letter thing is a really neat aspect and I kinda wish other people would do it. Not all the time, but every once in a while, throw in that little extra to make your game special.
