Very nice work on your final cover tiktektak. I was planning on adding my cover as an alternate anyway. There is no reasons a custom should replace a retail cover. I realized this the other day but my password no longer seems to work on the FTP. I PM'ed snowcone to get a new one, when I do I'll add the cover along with some others.

To be honest, I dont see why we cant host both of them as Retail covers. Id say almost every NES cover we have filed under Retail has most likely had the spine altered in order for it to fit with the template. Either moving the game title and developer logo, or adding one if there isnt one to begin with. For example, I had to do the same thing shenske did to make my Rainbow Islands fit:

I figured, thats what we all do in order to keep the spines somewhat consistent. If you really think about it, technically that Dungeon Magic cover is probably the only actual NES Retail cover since its the only cover that doesnt have the spine banner we use in the template. Therefore making every other cover a Custom. ;)

All im saying is I dont see any reason to file shenske's Dungeon Magic cover as a Custom cover when theres plenty of other covers filed as retail

I was wondering that myself, but I think it had to be classified as custom because Shenske changed the spine art to match that of the front, as well as added the subtitle of the game to spine.  But yeah, if I were to print out a cover for that game I'd have to use Shenske's lest it be the only one in my 140+ box collection that wouldn't have the Nintendo logo at the top.  ;D

Would be interesting tho. We could start uploading both versions.

For me personally shenskes version is not custom because of the top Nintendo logo which we use on all of our covers except for a few of mine. ;D It is because the whole spine logo was altered (with subtitle, darker red color). The artwork on the other hand was not altered afair because as seen on my final version there should be a fluent transition between front and spine.
