Sorry about that, I normally don't use a 3rd party site to host my pictures.

Oh god, Days of Thunder. When I was younger I liked the movie and wanted to play the NES game very badly...then I did. Yeesh.

  • Think off-center.

I coulda sworn I made this cover (retail) a while ago. Was it not uploaded?

If I remeber correctly, you did but you never sent it, I even requested it from you but never got answer. (long time ago)

holy crap. Are you positive that's an officially made Famicom game? For several years I  was under the impression there was no Famicom version of TMNT1. If you own the game, can you post a shot of the cartridge? I didn't think Konami made a version for Japan!

They released it 1 year before it came out in the US even. I'm writing a full retrospective on TMNT on HG101 so you'll see more about it there. But yeah, official. Catalog number is KDS-GN

TMNT1 in Japan is called Gekikame Ninja Den (or whatever), TMNT II is called TMNT and TMNT III is TMNT 2 in Japan. Tournament Fighters is called Mutant Warriors (but I don't think is on Famicom). Turtles in Time also has no number in Japan.

New one by me.

Dungeon Magic:

A lot of cleaning had to be done but it turned out quite good I think. The only thing which bugs me a bit is that the transition between the spine and front isn't accurate but it was simply too different in height to begin with. So I made a clear "cut" between front and spine instead.

I also omitted the spine logo from this one cause it wouldn't fit nicely on this one in my oppinion. Anyone can feel free to add it and upload another version with the logo somehow tacked on. Will be uploaded.

Why not use the spine from the other side of the box as an alternate version with the NES logo? Only the Taito logo would have to be relocated.:

Hey Tik, send me the cover. I have a few ideas to solve that problem ... if not maybe a good alternate  :)

I can send you the raws if you want too.

As I said maybe I just wasn't good enough to make it look perfectly transient or maybe I thought 6-7 hours of cleaning and aligning work are enough but oh well this is the best I can do.

It is clean, sharp and good colored at least which it wasn't before. Another problem why my spine-front transition was doomed. The spine was more or in another way discoloured than the front.

Don't worry i got your back tik ;)
I reworked the spine and merged it with the front. I can make the spine logo however you want since it has been recreated but i thought it looked best add the subline to the title and adding a slight drop shadow.

Dungeon Magic (custom)

obviously not high res but here is a quick preview of the cover flat.

what do you think?
