I'll see if I can get good scans of the Famicom Disk System Zeldas. Probelm is that those covers are much much smaller to begin with.

Still, I'll try and come up with something. Who knows, maybe I'll be the first to have a Famicom template on the site.

thats something I want to do myself. that way, you can improve it! lol My intital ideas for a Famicom template stream from very much like the NES template. I'll need some help with some details though, such as the Famicom Disk System template and quite frankly a whole lot of everything to do with the beloved Disk System. Disk covers are only slightly smaller than the labels on standard 3 1/2" floppies of today. So its really going to be a challange to see how to convert them into the frankly massive Universal Media Cases. I was thinking more along the line of DS cases but that would involve heavy modding for each and every DS case since the disks wont fit. In anycase, I want to wait until my UMCs arrive before I start anything. For now, please keep up the exellent work on NES scans and I'll do what I can to contribute as well. I'll have Bubble Bobble ready tomorrow just to prove I'm still game!  :)

Would you like me to PM you the NES template I've been using? It has guide lines for the spine and both the spine game logo placement and the small publisher logo. It also includes the red Nintendo Entertainment System topper for both front and back like the ones used on the later releases.

Let me know,

Here's my idea for a famicom template. The Disk System one has a Gold binding on the bottom, but that's only on the template that I have.

Yeah please. Email me at satoshimatrix@hotmail.com. Please also email me that Famicom template.

I like some ideas regarding the Famicom, but there are a few problems. Only the earliest Famicom games used the heart meter looking jagged lines. Everything made after 1986 dropped that look in favour of actual box art. Although the more I look at it, the more I'm inclined to think its okay.  My biggest gripe is that "Family Computer" seems a little long and dried out, the name of Famicom sticks much more with me and I know a few others. I was just messing around, but here's an idea for a Famicom spine logo:

The reason I stuck with Family Computer is that it is the real name for the system. We didn't shorten Nintendo Entertainment System on the spine to NES, so I felt we should keep the naming convention the same on the box. I always refer to it as the Famicom, but that's not what's on the package.

BTW, what did you think of the Disk System box?

Yay, but too bad Conta Force wasn't all that great. Super C was on the other hand, so it's all kinds of insanely difficult. Thanks for the contributation as always.

I've uploaded some raw NES scans off two games I luckily found complete in a second hand shop in austria!

I haven't got the time at the moment to turn them into covers(too many other covers/collection stuff to do).... I uploaded them in 600dpi and straightened as possible....

Maybe someone has the ambition to clean and fix them.... :)

Makes me wish I could read German! I always hated Solstice. A buddy of mine couldn't get enough, but none of those psudo-3D NES games were any good. 3D world runner is mediocore though. But ah....Bolderdash. Bolderdash is one of the best games that has forgotten. I never owned the NES version, but the Commodore64 version stays fresh in my memory and is one game I'll still pop in and play every now and then.
