NES case art

Arseen:

Here is my quick mock up what the uniform NES spine could look like, the back and front could and should stay retail like (or custom but alternating not like SNEs / N64 where only the center picture really changes):

In this spine only the game's name and company logo changes but the NES logo, gray background and the black and red bars stay constant

Uhh what? Lets see how long I can last on this statement before getting lost!

Shenske, you suck at being intimidating, but you do prove excellent at being confusing at times ! !  ;D

No, trust me I don't ... I just try my best to not be intimidating.

Both vertical templates i have made use horizontal art work.  The templates were made to try and hide that the artwork doesn't even come close to fitting. When looking at SNES or N64 retail art it is easy to notice that the x-axis (side to side) is much bigger than the y-axis (up and down).

The template i am speaking of is the extra black bars and such that are in place to make it so the horizontal art still "fits".  It is completely unnecessary/unfitting for the NES covers to use this kind of template.  The NES art is already set up with a larger y-axis than x-axis .... WE DON"T NEED ANYTHING ELSE TO MAKE IT FIT!!!

I had a very clear vision in mind when creating all of my templates.  Every system has a very different template because i absolutely DO NOT want them to look like one another.  Its very unoriginal & unimaginative to have a "one template fits all" mentality ... trust me they'll look like garbage if we do this.  Since I created the template I'd like it not to change ... at all.  I created the readme file for this specific purpose.

Exactly.

That would be completely fine by me and my recommendation.

I didn't mean to disrespect your work, shenske.  I acknowledged in the first post that I was making them for my own personal use, and will continue to do so, but I don't really have any need to upload them here if they are causing issues, as that was never my intent.  As far as designing my own template, I really don't have much clue where to start, though I may look into it.  I do apologize again for the transgression on your work, and for not acknowledging the readme file (been a while since I have read it, I must admit).

Its cool, I didnt mean to take this out on you. I'm sure it was not your intention in the slightest to get me riled up. I was simpley trying to explain my point of view to everyone on the board here  :)
