@DarrienEmerald

I appreciate that you like the SNES template i made but the design was made for ... SNES covers.  It would really bother me seeing the template changed and shopped up for other systems. I was very specific in the readme file that i attached that i didn't want the template changed.  I would appreciate it if you would use these covers with the modified template for your personal use.

NES cover art is already vertical so there really isn't a need for a vertical NES template.

Actually I'd like a template that has atleast the spines matching each other, maybe something with the NES spine logo of ours with NES gray background for the game's name.

Of course not made from your SNES template.

But some kind of nice simple uniform spine to be used for all NES covers as an alternate for the individuals we currently use.
I think it's more pleasing for the eye than the jumping rainbow of colors that my shelves now are.

We already do have a uniform look with the black Nintendo Entertainment System logo at the top.  Its better suited for retail art as is ...

Shenske, you suck at being intimidating, but you do prove excellent at being confusing at times ! !  ;D

But the spines are onle partly uniform, where as SNES and N64 spines atre totally uniform, that's why I always beg for PAL covers also in US Vertical Format.

I for one think those Megaman covers look great and there's no reason not to host them. Those customs look a heck of a lot better than the original retail ones. I think the format looks great for NES games.

speaking of which, I like a lot of what you've done with the Megaman covers DarrienEmerald. Putting the Japanese subtitles as the headers is both clever and a good idea. I notice you're using my box descriptions I wrote way back when, but slightly edited. The only real suggestion I have is that you use bullet points or dashes or something to indicate the features of each game. Without them, they look like small paragraphs.

I look forward to Blue's Trap and Greatest Battle in History covers for 5 and 6!

Here is my quick mock up what the uniform NES spine could look like, the back and front could and should stay retail like (or custom but alternating not like SNEs / N64 where only the center picture really changes):

In this spine only the game's name and company logo changes but the NES logo, gray background and the black and red bars stay constant

No, trust me I don't ... I just try my best to not be intimidating.

Both vertical templates i have made use horizontal art work.  The templates were made to try and hide that the artwork doesn't even come close to fitting. When looking at SNES or N64 retail art it is easy to notice that the x-axis (side to side) is much bigger than the y-axis (up and down).

The template i am speaking of is the extra black bars and such that are in place to make it so the horizontal art still "fits".  It is completely unnecessary/unfitting for the NES covers to use this kind of template.  The NES art is already set up with a larger y-axis than x-axis .... WE DON"T NEED ANYTHING ELSE TO MAKE IT FIT!!!

I had a very clear vision in mind when creating all of my templates.  Every system has a very different template because i absolutely DO NOT want them to look like one another.  Its very unoriginal & unimaginative to have a "one template fits all" mentality ... trust me they'll look like garbage if we do this.  Since I created the template I'd like it not to change ... at all.  I created the readme file for this specific purpose.

Exactly.

That would be completely fine by me and my recommendation.

I didn't mean to disrespect your work, shenske.  I acknowledged in the first post that I was making them for my own personal use, and will continue to do so, but I don't really have any need to upload them here if they are causing issues, as that was never my intent.  As far as designing my own template, I really don't have much clue where to start, though I may look into it.  I do apologize again for the transgression on your work, and for not acknowledging the readme file (been a while since I have read it, I must admit).

Its cool, I didnt mean to take this out on you. I'm sure it was not your intention in the slightest to get me riled up. I was simpley trying to explain my point of view to everyone on the board here  :)
