Looking good. I would rotate the Taito logo on the spine tho.

Just out of curiosity. Why? Doesn't it look better if all text on the spine is in the same direction?

a yes and I'm all for a second version with a one color spine too. The background makes the text a bit hard to read.

If you look NES cover (and SNES verticals) they all have game maker's name at the bottom vertically at 90 degree angle to other texts on spine)

For example see the Flintstones NES cover:

or
Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics vertical SNES:

Thats exactly my point. All the developer logos on the spines of our NES covers are horizontal across the bottom and IMO looks better. And apperently thats what we have been doing the whole time so why change now? I thought that was pretty obvious...

Jup right did mix this up with horizontal SNES covers. ;D

I still would maybe do a solid blue version and a "blocky" version of the spine just to have a real retail cover too.
2 + 3 = 23

Thats what I was thinking too. If I ever decide to pick this up someday Id probably use the solid blue spine, just to match up next to the other Flinstones game. Altho if they both had that pattern Id go with that to stay closer to retail.

Yea I'll drop both styles. Also I need feedback for the back, it has a white overlay on top of this "camo" pattern but it is barely visible (about95% overlay). Your opinion should I do white only or continue to build the pattern?

To stay true to retail I think it might be worth it to keep the pattern in the background. But its up to you.

I'm glad to see a cover for AI3, but Man, Hudson sure knew how to waste space. That big yellow spot looks kinda bad, almost makes me wish it could be filled with......something.

I second this idea. Expanding the image to remove much of the yellow wasted space as a custom alternative is an excellent idea.
