First of all, I think this site is awesome.  Everyone here does an awesome job on the covers, and I really think this is a great cause. So Thanks!

Anyway,  I hate to be that guy whose first post is asking for more freebies, but the "About the Project" page did say to come by the forums for requests.  Anyone working on or able to make these SNES covers?

Super Mario World
Uniracers
Mortal Kombat 3
SimCity
Tiny Toons: Buster Busts Loose
Super Double Dragon
Mario Paint
Super Bases Loaded
NBA JAM

I still have some of these boxes and could scan them, if someone else was willing to do the Photoshop work.  (I really lack the skills).  Just curious, is the limiting factor to putting up more covers lack of source material, or time required to photoshop it?

Cheers!

Hi,
I uploaded a PAL cover for NBA Jam earlier this week if that's any help. Just waiting for it to be added to the SNES section.

I have a US raw scan of Tiny Toons so will be working on that one soon.

I really must get access to the FTP as I'm sure there are loads of covers that I need for myself and could do something with.

From your list of games I could sure use Mario World, Uniracers and Simcity so if you can get good scans get them uploaded.

I did Super Double Dragon just a week ago....

But it takes some time to show up in the appropriate sections....

  • ...and that's the bottom line

Yeah, you should definitely ask Snowcone for access. There are tons of raw scans that you could work with.

To answer your other question, in general, source material (i.e. scanned boxes) is a bigger roadblock than actually Photoshopping the scans into finished covers.

In reply to the first post, I just uploaded a raw scan of MK 3 and I'm waiting on My Super Mario World Complete in the box from Ebay. As soon as it arrives, I'll upload the raw scans for the cover to be finalized.

Well since there's a thread for SNES requests here, here's my list of requests. Games with * after them I would like to see more so than others. These are all North American NTSC:

Earthworm Jim
Final Fantasy III* - I'd like to see a cover for the orignal title, Final Fantasy VI, even if someone could edit all refrences to "III" on the box and replace with "VI"
GameGenie - Assuming it could fit into Universal Media Cases. I dont think it will but if it does, include it lol
Kirby's Dream Course
Megaman VII*
Megaman X2*
R-Type III: The Third Lightening*
Sim City*
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy*
Star Trek: The Next Generation*
Super Bases Loaded
Super Battle Tank 2
Super Bomberman 2*
Super Mario World*
Super Scope 6
Super Star Wars The Empire Stikes Back*
Super Star Wars Return of the Jedi*
Vortex

Cheers.

Mega Man X2 and Vortex are both uploaded to the site (I bought a sealed US copy of Vortex for the sole purpose of scanning the boxart), only a matter of time before they will be available to the public. If you can't wait for them to be published here, check the thread 'New SNES covers' - there is a link to the finished Mega Man X2 cover in full resolution. (3366x2100).
