I just do not have the shelf space to convert all my PS1 and DC games to DVD cases. I prefer the original gases.
I feel you. I'm a fan of keeping a real.

What I don't get is - and maybe a converter will be able to help me out here - when one gets a PS3, will they redo all the covers again for the sake of everything being in an HD style case? It just seems like a lot of... I won't say wasted... but that has to take a lot of paper, ink, money, and time. Ink's expensive, man!

I'd love some original Dreamcast covers. I bought Time Stalkers used at the Rhino sale (For a dollar!), thinking a case would be easy to get, but it's becoming something of a pain.

I don't have many, but I'd be glad to help out by scanning what I do have.

Here is my first attempt at a Dreamcast Cover.

I thought it was just my printer that was hard on ink......  :)

I don't have time stalkers  :( so I can't help you there, but TheValeman may have it. I just got my dreamcast system about 3 months ago and i pickup up Rayman 2 for $1 and thought the same thing about getting a cover.

You can go here:  http://covers.torrentreactor.net/covers.php?letter=t&orderby=a.id&asc=DESC&id=3&skip=50
and they have a low rez cover.  I usually download and sharpen/enhance the image as best as I can. They work OK for temporary covers until I can get something better.

For me, it's not for the sake of everything matching, it's to get my games out of those absurdly fragile jewel cases.

I have to completely agree with warlock.... Especially the dreamcast jewel cases are really easy to brake!
They've got those tiny itsy bitsy joints which brake like tearing some paper apart....  ;D

To The game:

If you are desperate for the time stalkers case and my PAL Raws and DVD Custom that I uploaded are not what you really want, then 150dpi NTSC covers for Timestalkers are available on these links:

No Metroid on N64, What was Nintendo thinking? ;)

Man, all I can say is you guys really need to take better care of your toys. :)

I don't think I have ever broken a cd case. I have bought a lot of broken ones, and replaced them with new cases, but never broken any myself.....
Unless maybe I stepped on one once.....   but I digress...

Right now I'm keeping all my dreamcast games in their respected CD Cases, only because I don't want to have X many Dreamcast DVD and Y CD Cases.

Obviously, they will go into DVD cases once they all have their respected DVD Covers done... unfortunately, I have around 80 games, and maybe 1/4 of those have created cases.

Well, I managed to create some more Dreamcast cases. Please remember that I prefer the original designs, so these arn't very custom. Enjoy!

bleemcast! For TEKKEN 3

Metropolis Street Racer

Silent Scope

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2

World Series Baseball 2K1

did u just stretch each original cover vertically for the dvd cover? or did u try to stretch it horizontally too to make it look a lil better.

I did my best to centre the image and make it big enough to horizontally and vertically stretch the image to make sure it doesn't get disorted.

The bleemcast! one came out the best, just because it was designed differently (the DVD back was actually the front of the CD Case)

You really need to get hold of a Pal dreamcast case.  The lids on the little buggers stick closed.  Too much force opening them and the brittle plastic hinges just snap off. (although I believe you are correct, those not in a hurry to ram Shenmue into their dreamcast would possibly not snap their case)

Lish, you just keep coming through, man. Awesome. While I do appreciate the DVD case, I just prefer original cases for everything, if at all possible.

As for breaking jewel cases... meh, I buy used, and they all end up with a new case, anyway. The only one I have brand new is Grandia II, and it's never broke on me.

Well, I was just kidding around about taking better care of your toys.

On the other hand, I buy most of my games used (I am a Cheap Ass Gamer).
I can understand the N64 carts and even the GBA carts being without instructions as they have no cases.;
I am really surprised at the number of Gamecube/PS2/XBox games that are sold without instructions and/or covers.... I am not sure how you lose a cover from a DVD case.. or lose the entire case & cover for that matter.
 ???

yeah .... PAL Dreamcast cases are a pain in the ass. And they're impossible to replace when they do break. That's why I bought a US Dreamcast and sold off all my PAL stuff. The US games cases are standard cd cases.  :)

For those PAL users that want to use standard cases I have considered and made a few covers where I converted them to slim spines. In actual fact there were some games ... Sega Rally 2 and Virtua Fighter TFB that come to mind .... that were released in standard cases .... usually as an insert into a package of some description. So I don't really have a problem converting thick PAL spines to slim in terms of originality.
