I've heard of this, but it looks different than the one I'm familiar with (especially since there is a controller involved).  I'm only familiar with a version meant for watching UMD movies and not playing games, so I'm curious how this one works.  Looks pretty cool.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

So, it turns out that the psp I was going to use is dead, not surprised since I can't remember the last time it was used, I guess I'll have to wait a little longer to try this out, I'll take this over to my project thread when I get started

Just ordered Tears of the Kingdom Collector's Edition from 2 different stores.
Also ordered 2 copies of Tears of the Kingdom Link Amiibos.
And finally I checked that my "Sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Switch" preorder made at 17.11.2021 was still up. It was.

Did the battery swell up?  That's what happened to mine a few years ago.  I was able to get a replacement battery off Amazon for pretty cheap, but I haven't priced them out lately.

I was just reading about this device.  It looks like the PSP might need a small mod before working with the device.  Can you confirm that?  If so, is the mod "plug & play" or is soldering required?  Also, it looks like it has composite and s-video outputs.  I'm sort of surprised that it doesn't offer component output considering the PSP had component output through the video out cable available on the later models.  Still, it's very interesting and I'll be curious to see pictures or videos of it in action.

From reading the manual, you have to take the PSP apart and fit a flexible circuit board inside, then replace the original front with a modified one supplied in the box, then it can attach to the base unit, sort of like a dock, plug in the power and so on, and you're ready to go, no soldering required!

For this one I think I'll be documenting the whole process, not just the before and after

Doesn't sound too bad. I will definitely be following.  I hope it works well.  This makes me want to fire up the old PSP again.

Never seen this one before.  This was the PSP Controller I've known about but sounds like it's just an "ok" solution.
