That reminds me of Final Fantasy Legend's boxart. Is that what you were going for?

Its based from a magazine scan i fell upon a long time ago advertising Final Fantasy II for the NES & Final Fantasy Legend II on the GB.

satoshi_matrix:

Whoa. Nintendo planned on releasing Final Fantasy II (NES) in the US? That must date from between mid 1990 but before mid 1991 when Final Fantasy II (IV for SNES) was starting to be advertised. I'm really quite impressed you were able to reconstruct the cover from that old ad!

FellipeBr:

Nintendo planned to release the FFII in the US, If i can remember right there is an proto with full english translation.

Its turned out alright so far, i had to run the main image through a bunch of filters and vector magic. The images i have found aren't very good quality so some of the detail was lost when trying to recreate it  :'(
One of my main challenges is figuring out what to write on the back of the box. I'm not a fan of final fantasy so i don't know the storyline or informaion for this title. I have to rely on the net for info which doens't always work (for some reason i think the desciption on the back of my earthbound cover isn't accurrate because of the same problem).

To my knowlege FFII was in the same state as Mother was for us stateside. Both had an official translation finished and prototypes were made but ultimately were scrapped from production to make way for the SNES.
