It's not a custom logo, it's the current logo for the series. It's been used for 3, 4 and the GBA ports of 1 and 2.

Yeah, me too. It took me a while to get it looking good, as the original image was extremely low res and artifact-ridden, but I eventually got it looking good enough.

Indeed - I choose it not only so it would look good among Breath of Fire III and IV, but also so that they could line up well on a shelf. The original logos for Breath of Fire I and II were very different in style.

Ahhh... that makes sense.  I've only got BoF 1 & 2 on the SNES, so in my mind the flaming logo is the BoF logo.

The back info on the PAL cover we currently have on the site is really weak (what? a few sentences) so i decided to go with the genesis information
