the7k: Those Obari illustrations make for nice cover art... but don't forget that Mai isn't actually in the first game. :P I assume you know that, and guess you might've been a bit limited in your choice of artwork, but I thought I'd mention it.

As we haven't got them on our site would you also make horizontal versions for

Final Fight 2
Final Fight 3
Samurai Shodown and
Fatal Fury Special

maybe?

Me and some other people from the "old stock" would be very happy... ;D

On a side note I took a look at your covers today 7k... They are all very well done... The only little thing which bugs me is that on the back lower right corner the legal text says 1992 and Game by Nintendo on every cover... You wouldn't care enough to replace it with the appropriate developer(Capcom,SNK) and release year? Then the covers would be perfect.... ;)

Jigsaw:

For the record, the SFC ports of SNK's games were made by Takara, not by SNK themselves.

Yeah, but... well, I always kinda hated how Takara practically took full credit for them. "Takara's Fighting Series..." and never any mention of SNK except maybe in the fine print always irked me. I guess since I have to modify them all anyway for legal info, I'll put a 'programmed by Takara' line in there, somewhere.

There's always something I miss...

Yeah, pretty much I was very limited. There were a few Obari illustrations that just had Terry, Andy and Joe, but they were far too vertical, and making them fit this template would mean cutting out Andy or Joe.

I'll just say its the same deal as having Guy on the front of the SNES Fatal Fury cover.

It's just too bad my Obari artbook has no real Art of Fighting illustrations. (The closest it has is a pic of Yuri Sakazaki with Mai Shiranui and Nakoruru in the background... it's a good pic, but Yuri wasn't even playable in the first Art of Fighting, so...)

... Maybe... I dunno. I don't really know if the art I choose for Final Fight will work out for horizontal covers though - I was pretty much already using every bit of The-Switcher's artwork as it is. Fatal Fury shouldn't be a problem, though, as I'll have plenty of Obari images to choose from. Samurai Shodown, I dunno about... the Obari artbook only has two SS images, and the second image wasn't very good for a cover.

Plus, I'll obviously be making all of these from scratch. I don't even have the games, much less the boxes.

Just reuploaded all the covers again, hopefully corrected and what not.
