Great to see all the activity in this thread. Here is another one to add to the pile of 'to-be-added' covers...

Rock Man 7 - Japanese NTSC Boxart (Click on thumbnail for full image - 3366x2100, 300 dpi)

Credit should go to protoman81 for providing the raw scans.

The Capcom logo could probably be improved upon. Oh, and I also applied a small amount of Gaussian blur on the cover art - if it's unwanted I could remove it.

May I ask you guys how you get those black levels to be exactly black? Whenever I scan in my image it looks like it has 3 different black levels, but when it prints out, it's solid black.

Rockman 7 looks great!! Can't wait to see Rockman & Forte. By the way... I've always wondered... is Rockman & Forte really Megaman 9??? Or is it more like Megaman 8.5?  Was thinking someone could make a custom Super NES Cover that actually says Megaman 9... just for the fun of it, since Capcom will more then likely NOT make Megaman 9. Anyway, it's great to see the super nes section growing more and more by the day. I need the following covers if anyone has the box art:

Megaman Soccer (SNES)

Super Street Fighter 2 (GENESIS)

TMNT 4: Turtles In Time (SNES) I already uploaded the raw scans for that.

TMNT Tounement Fighters (SNES)

Breath of Fire 2 (SNES)

There are tons more, I just have to find time to list them all, but those are the ones I can think of at the moment.

I uploaded raw scans of Lord of Darkness. I also figured out what was causing the shadowing in my scans. I will try to get Aladdin and Super ESB redone and uploaded this weekend and the rest uploaded as well.

Thanks

I just uploaded my scan of Final Fight(the european version PAL)....

Dunno if anyone wants to work on it.... I managed to pretty much clean up the front but the back killed me... How can anyone possibly come up with the idea of making a white back????????
It was almost impossible for me to reconstruct the black writing on the back because my scanner had some problems making the text really black.... It's rather grayish and this makes it hard to do the letters....

So if anyone desperately needs a challenge here you go....  ;D

As it turns out, I do still have the box to Megaman Soccer!! Found it today, so Im uploading the RAW scans now for whoever wants to work on it. Looks like another Megaman SNES cover we can take off our list. I believe this cover will complete our Megaman SNES collection, as I have already uploaded RAW scans for Megaman x2, Megaman 7, and a few Rockman SNES games as well, and those have been finished!

Great. Thanks for creating that cover and for the rapidshare link. This should bridge the hopefully short gap until the cover is added.

By the way, the snes raw scans are about halfway done. Good job everybody!

Everyone who is creating finished SNES covers ought to check out this thread: http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=433.0

For any NTSC style covers, new ones probably ought to use Mooky's new template.

The problem with an SNES template is that not all SNES covers use the same design. The copyrights, code in the corner of the back cover, and the Nintendo/developer/publisher logos/seals on the front are usually different on every cover.

Yeah I'm all for a template for Custom covers, but when I have my games in their cases I would prefer to have them looking like Originals. Nice template though

Of course it can be modified per game, but the cleaned up logo on the spine is quite nice.

So you'll choose blurry over the seal being 5mm to the left?

No ... I think he just means he prefers authentic to custom where the writing on the back is concerned.

So of us like preserving the original artwork in as close to original form as possible. Creating custom templates is fine if you alter the writing for every single cover and so forth ... maybe not something that'll ever get done. So we end up with two distinct groups .... people wanting original and others who are okay with custom.

No big deal really ... and the site caters to everyone so it shouldn't be a problem.
