Yeah, that's what I was referring to. The horizontal covers just aren't to my liking at all. It's great for a box on a store shelf, but not so great for a game that is going right next to the DVD cased games.

That Earthbound cover is really sweet, except that I don't have the player's guide so it doesnt apply to me. Could you make a copy that removes the player's guide reference?

I'll make an attempt this week when I get some more free time. It won't be easy unless I choose entirely different artwork for the cover. The original boxart has that reference on it, and I haven't been able to find that particular picture without it. That was the primary reason for me leaving that reference on the box, because I don't have the player's guide either.

That artwork is on the cartridge label, but I can't imagine that we'd ever be able to get something high enough quality to size up and still meet 300dpi.

i had to use a slightly different version of IMANDIX for my preview covers when i reinstalled it.
Also i am resizing my preview images smaller so i can view them on my iphone when i'm not near my computer.

@Yumil1988

About your lufia cover, i would recommend bring the boundary of your text box on the back more the right.  (and indent on your first paragraph).  When text is all the way against the edge of the cover it just ... looks wrong.  I would also recommend increasing your font size to fill up more area on the back.  (look to my F-Zero cover above to see what i mean)

great job on the cover though  :)

About earthbound, just duplicate the character's body on the right side, flip it horizantaly and place it on the left.  It's body is symetrical. Then merge the "new" duplicated half of the body to the original piece and blur together.  And the background is a pattern, just duplicate that and patch it where needed behind the body.  And poof ... the strategy guide was never there.

Thanks Shenske. I'll get back to working on Earthbound here before long I hope. Work has suddently increased (which I guess is a good thing during a recession) so I've had less time to play with nonsense.

As for Lufia, thanks for the critique, but I have no intentions of messing with it. I noticed that another member did the same cover (almost the exact same way too - sorta creepy :P) a couple pages back. I only made it because I couldn't find it on the site, even though I swore I had seen one (sure enough I had). I have since discovered the uploads.

Lemme know what you guys think.  Sorry I can't do the 3D cover thingy... I'm on a Mac and that software said it was Windows only.

If there's no complaints I'll upload the hi-res in a couple days for you guys.  I can probably whip up a Player's choice version, too.
