Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts

This was made using Bungleboss partially complete SNES template. Its still not a template as such, cos all i did was use it to build this particular cover but if no one else takes up the mantle, as i make the dozen or so SNES Titles i need, i will finish it up.....time allowing that is. ;)

I wasn't sure wether the spine title was as it was on the front of the box,or the back (as i got the cart for £2.50 with no packaging) so if any one could let me know....please.

THE EXPERIMENT

Make a vertical SNES cover as close as possible to the original

THE METHOD

Too much time on a Sunday afternoon spare,so i wasted it trying to flip the Ghouls n Ghosts cover vertical. Like an earlier poster,im not mad keen on the orientation of UGC's for SNES an N64,and so a 10 min experiment went on and on....SNES cover pics dont lend themselves to being flipped, although Thepoc did a nice job on the U.S ones,so i looked about for a different option and settled on the GBA cover from this very site. That went in ok but then came the nasty bit...getting the logo from the front to use on the spine and back, and bang goes the afternoon. Lucky it was a lovely day here so i took the laptop out in the garden and caught a few rays.

THE RESULT

THE CONCLUSION

Too awkward and time consuming.Couldn't make the original pic look right so it ended up a lot custom. Not one for the purist,i will mark this one up as a fun cover purely for my own use. Might do it for the few SNES carts i have that aren't covered,,,but probably wont'. ;)

If it's high res stuff it would fit perfectly for our site... Just mark it custom and no problem....

Street Fighter 2 Turbo (WIP)

The Ghouls n Ghost cover printed out quite nicely and as i only have a few SNES carts,im gonna break with tradition and do a few vertical customs(as well as originals if poss...)of which this is the second.

I like how many SNES games claim to be "the biggest SNES game ever". I guess I can understand them being so at the time, but in retrospect if your going to bother to reproduce a cover you should honeslty update it. Tales of Phantasia and Star Ocrean were more than doube Street Fighter II Turbo's 20Mbit at a wopping 48MBit.

Just my two cents.
