If we would have more Oobgarms and CMDKings and Mels and less "other" guys only whining maybe then the forums would be "more active". Whatever that means.

I was just making one simple statement and seriously do all the Cover Admins need to gang up on me like that. Also, my statement wasn’t even criticizing anyone; I am just saying how come is not as active and we are having few and fewer users. What is wrong with that? Do you guys really need to say I am useless and other negative things like that?

And I made a joke, observation, and encouraging comment, and just got attitude in return.
It does get tiresome when we get so many people asking for stuff that don't supply scans/covers/effort. There was no intention of ganging up until your responses.

When someone keeps bumping and nagging that covers get do slowly and at the time pretty much openly saying that can't bother make them himself, eventually the responce is this.
So once more:
1: Get Photoshop, Gimp or Paint.net.
2: Download Template of correct format.
3: Start learning cover making. It really is not that hard.

I see the new member initiation is going smoothly . . .
But if you want to learn how to make covers, Segamer has some great tutorials. ;)

Ive been here for quite some time (7 years) and I can say the forum has always had the same activity. The standards are quite high, which makes for exceptional quality. Not every cover that's made will be posted to the main site. Not every request is answered. The more you can supply, the better the chance of it getting done.
Ive tried my hand at a few. My biggest problems are im busy (like everyone else here), my scanner is crap and my photoshop (aka Gimp) skills are average. That being said, Ive tried and had my work improved on. It may not always get posted, but you will learn things. Everyone here is willing to teach you if you are open to trying.
At the very least you will learn enough to make a cover that is good enough for your own use. Ive done several of those thanks to the guidance I've received here. I even recall several of us making a Rambo cover based off a scan i posted. Sadly the original image on the cover is poor, so its not likely to get posted.... but I learned a lot and had fun. I suggest trying it out.

I gave links as this is a SNES topic (no need to derail), the point is... you can do it. And you can learn as you go.
