New SNES covers
segamer:
I have some simple templates. They can comply with cover project standards but it's really up to you.

i do not make vertical covers. i download the template by shenske (i guess) but he has like a million objects (i guess layers?) in the file instead of a single template for each design. I am puzzled as to what everyone is using. I do not use photoshit, i mean photoshop but i can open .psd files. I would like to know if someone can make a single .psd file with a standard US vertical template. I want to make Pieces but i wan it to be acceptable by TCP users. Understand that i restore retail boxes (not templates.) I would like to contribute to the cover making of TCP but i am new to this area. help is wanted. maybe someone could make a US vertical standard that i could download? i don't want to make a vertical cover that does not comply with what everyone wants. know what i mean?
i hope that i make sense. been drinking Erdinger ;D
i want to make a cover-guru acceptable vertical but too many layers in the file. help!

Shenske provided me with empty Covers of the 3 different SNES Verticals (PAL, US and JAP).
I'll make them into Paint.net Templates that are only 3 layers:
- Bottom: Front image and screenshots go there.
- Middle: Is the actual template with empty spots for front image and screenshots to show thru.
- Top: ONLY FOR NINTENDO logos and where the titles go.
You can then add the backtext, SNS logos and barcode numbers in either Paint.net to the Top layer or like I do in MS Paint (Windows 7, older ones screw the DPI when saved).

@segamer Thanks. grabbed the template in your link. very nice. layers are simplified.
@everyone else not criticizing anyone here. just sayin' that if it were me, i'd make a template for each region and design. I'm just a vertical template noob here. nothing to see. move along ;D

excellent! I use PhotoImpact to edit images. I've used it since version 4. PI has much of the same functionality for a more reasonable price. Adobe is cuckoo. I refuse to pay those prices. Anyway, PI supports .psd files too but handles "layers" much better. In PI they are objects and i like this concept better. I never liked Macromedia Fireworks either as it also had the layer concept. Objects are clickable and have context menus which facilitate everything. I've been using PI11 for years and just upgraded to X3 from Corel for $30. Better than $600-800 - I'd rather buy Autodesk for such high prices. I won't even use it if it's free. I hate Adobe. Everyone is entitled to live their lives the way they like, lawfully of course, and i live mine without adobe. If you like adobe, then great. My opinion is just that - mine.
anyway, i'd like to offer more help with covers here and the vertical templates will help. Thank Shenske for me. I'm glad that he simplified them for us.
post links and i'll download immediately.
Thanks Arseen.

OK I made them.
Upping takes few minutes.
But they are in PND not PSD.
