New SNES covers

Arseen:

First major flaw is these both are in the inferior horizontal format when they should be in the superior vertical format!  ;D

On the serious note the screenshots need replacing, especially on the Speedy Gonzales.

BadChad:

I disagree, Horizontal is much more superior! ;D

Over all their not too bad but I suggest re-scanning both of those boxes with some thing with weight on top of the scanner for a sharper scan and starting over. Theres a few spots on both covers that are blurry. If you can take better scans you can keep the original scans too. I would also re-type out some of the text and fill in things like the titles with solid colour.

I have to agree with BadChad, mostly because I am slightly OCD and like the covers to reflect the original packaging as closely as possible.

On that note, I have to give credit to all of the vertically-formatted covers for remaining very uniform. The horizontal SNES ones are kind of a mess, spine-wise (Some have the original retail spines, some have Super Nintendo Entertainment System plastered on them, some have the four-button logo on them, etc.)

Brandonh1091:

Awesome job on the covers! Two more covers knocked off my ridiculously large list.

Yeah, heh, I'm the exact same way. I've found that the best way to print the SNES covers is with a vertical spine, but with the original horizontal front and back. Keeps it a lot more consistent up on the shelf.

Those look really nice! I think I may try to print out covers like that for my SNES games once I can buy some UGCs. I've been trying to decide if I want to go with the more organized vertical or closer-to-retail horizontal.
