Covers for peripheral equipment?

KaiserWAVE:

UncleBob's poll for the GC Memory Card cover (http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=3262.msg30580#new) has really sparked my interest.

I was thinking about covers for the periphery that actually fits into DVD, DS or Universal Game Cases. Right now I have all the controllers and stuff in a drawer, like most people. But I would love to integrate them into my collection if it's possible. I don't have a UGC to test, but I tested it with a VHS case and they have pretty much the same dimensions in width.

So I was thinking, is there an interest in covers for a Wii classic controller, or a Dreamcast VMU, or a Playstation memory card or maybe even the Street Fighter IV Fight Pads? I guess the cases would require some serious modding, like cutting all the plastic inside an UGC to fit the controller in, and without further modification it will probably rattle around too. But I'm just asking about the general interest here. If this idea is picked up we could sort out the little things as we go.

Oppinions?

I think that's an awesome idea.  I made a few for my Dreamcast VMU's, PS2 DVD remote and controller extensions for SNES, DC, Gamecube and XBOX as well as memory cards covers for PS1, PS2 and GC.  None of them are up to the standards of this site but if somebody did make them I'm sure they would be appreciated.

FellipeBr:

Maybe the VHS covers will work, because they don`t have too much plastic to cut inside it.

I will love to have my controllers, memory cards & other things displayed in my shelf in this cases.

The problem with cutting plastic to fit controllers is that, if the plastic isn't cut cleanly enough, it could cut your cords.

Aside from that, it's a good idea.
