...what?

Nobody gives a crap if this is a pirate or not. Even if he is, what on earth does making cover art for a HARD DRIVE have to do with it? What's he supposedly making a bootleg of?

Why do we even CARE? What we do has nothing to do with piracy at all, ARTWORK DOES NOT ENABLE PIRACY, ARTWORK HAS NOTHING TO DO PIRACY, reapeat after me ARTWORK DOES NOT ENABLE PIRACY, ARTWORK HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PIRACY, and again ARTWORK DOES NOT ENABLE PIRACY, ARTWORK HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PIRACY.

And lastly, one more time:

ARTWORK DOES NOT ENABLE PIRACY, ARTWORK HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PIRACY

Seriously, this type of completely needless and unwarranted persecution of other members has to stop.

TIME TO PLAY REFEREE
I should have played a little closer attention to this topic as of late.  Things are getting a more than a little heated in this topic so i'm going to attempt to sort things through.

@ShoothimNow
You have a very nice collection of games and personally i really like your NESarcade machine.  Its a great idea to be able to run your own copies of the games in your collection while still having th arcade feel to it.
We do appreciate you making a mock-up of the template deminsions and rough size that you would like to have your cover made. That saves a lot of time in the cover making process and will speed up your request being filled.
I do beleive you that you are legitimately trying to play your games.
The problem is we here at TheCoverProject are weary that one of the Big game companies are in the belief that we are supplying covers or ways to bootleg games.  To ensure that we won't get shut down we (admins) decided to no longer host any sort of unofficial covers for games that were not licensed. The R4 cover on the site was added many years ago and under the current standards should not be on the site. Problem is it is VERY difficult to remove covers once they are already on the site (only snowcone can do this).  Specifying certain games in a emulator is probably not  agood idea though.
Some one is still welcome to make a cover for you and give you a link to it but we just cant host it (which you seem fine with).

@pneboy
I understand that you are trying to protect the site from pirates but i request that you stop digging into to this one and just let it go.  Members should not have to go through a proving process at every request so this one should be no different.

@AppleQueso
The artwork my not promote piracy but the artwork is owned by the respective game companies so we just have to bae as careful as possible to not have anyone misinterpret any uses of the art as promoting piracy.

I've said before that I feel the site's stance on this is a bit overly-paranoid, but I can understand it from that angle. Unfortunately it seems that certain individuals here seem to take a very personal approach to it. That's what I'm frustrated with.

I feel that we don't need smart-alecky posts such as Vt102's essentially accusing people of being bootleggers/pirates. It does nothing at all good for this site. A simple, polite, "keep in mind it would be against our policy to host this", would be far more professional and courteous. (in fact, I think you guys should make a sticky in the request forum about it so we can quit going over it in every single "unauthorized" request thread).

Thank you shenske for responding, but I don't give a damn if its hosted on the site... as I don't want it to be... an email with a Jpeg / Imagehost / whatever is fine, as basically 40% of this site is already like that.  I understand that you don't want to host it... It's not even the CORRECT size for a UGC box, previously stated numerous times before.  Hosting it with an incorrect size will have people complaining about awkward prints, so...

I just thought it would be nice to 'request' a simple 'request' in the 'request' folder.

How is this request any different than the "PS2 HD Extreme and others request...  If you dont want it to run an SNES emulator (for any reason), THEN DON'T PUT IT ON THE COVER WHEN YOU MAKE IT

The only one that seems to understand me is AppleQueso, which I really really REALLY wish to thank because he is backing me up.  I don't give a 'hoot' if you pirate games, GOOD FOR YOU, I'm not looking for a case that ENCOURAGES THAT.  All I asked, as you can ****ing see is a cover for a GD HDD.  I added a picture for any confusion, but yet, an admin wished to pursue a lil' annoyance.

And logging into an account 2 weeks ago means what?  I am already logged in...  You're not making any sense dude, I logged in to create a request, how can one 'not be logged in' to do that.  Your logic is flawed
