Full psd here. I don't like much "Super Nintendo Entertainment" logo and I'll try to vectorise it from zero.

Super Nintendo logo in progress with Inkscape.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

When the letters are finished I just need to skew them 10ยบ to the right to match the original inclination.

UPDATE:

Logo finished, working in the left caveman hair...

By the way, I can't restore the diagonal banding present in the image, any tip with this issue?

Regards

Your work looks pretty solid. Nice colors and I don't see any too harsh diagonal banding (at least on the downsized imageshack picture).

Keep it up and this will be a very nice cover in the end! :)

Thanks, tiktektak, I'll try to minimize it when I resize to 300 dpi.

flagoss, do you have backside scans? In other case I'll try to make something similar to the original using the backside at gamefaqs as reference:

Working in the backside, I've learnt that SNES barcodes are UPC-A :D I need to to look for a appropriate text font for description, currently I'm using Arial and it doesn't match very well certain characters (cap J in Joe, for example).

UPDATE:

Enough for today, legal notes added. By the way, there is a minor typo in the original art, in the first description paragraph there is an ellipsis with FOUR points. Do you correct this kind of errors or leave them as they are?
