| Request: Ogre Battle - SNES/PSX/etc - Raw Complete Source Artwork |

Does anyone know of a source for Ogre Battle's cover image in its entirety? I know the US instruction manual has it wrapping around the front/back but that's not going to be a viable option for my purposes due to the crease, staples and small size. I'm guessing that it's too obscure of a title to have an art book. The problems with the US cover that I'm looking to avoid: 1) near the top of the artwork, the Giant's(?) hand and club are obscured by text 2) on the left side, the Dragon's entire body is cut off 3) same cropping problem on the right side, but the Squire is totally cut off except for his sword My reason for asking is that I have a really old screen printed Ogre Battle tshirt that is just a cheap 1 color print. I'm going to print up a new one using a DTG printer (in color obviously) and want to make sure I'm not missing a more complete source image before I start working with this US cover scan I have. My apologies if I didn't do the post title correctly. I'm new to the forum and don't quite understand the rules regarding this type of request. |

yeeesh, I'll say.. that helped me realize that the SNES version of the guide actually has an unobstructed version of the image I'm looking for, but unfortunately going for the same price. All I have physically in my possession is the Super Famicom version (boxed w/ manual) so I'll have to dig that out to see if it will be of any use. Worst case scenario is I just omit the cropped stuff from my final image. Up-side to that outcome is that it'll at least fit better on the shirt. (12" width max) Thanks for the tip though. I'm gonna keep looking and hoping someone has it while I slowly work with what I've got. It's possible I'll be able to add the cropped characters from other sources.. then it would just be a color correction job. Update: dug out the Japanese Ogre Battle and scanned the relevant bits. Probably have to spend a couple hours monkeying around with it just to see if it's worth the effort. ::) ;D |

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233316401993?hash=item3652bdc349:g:ov4AAOSwc8ZdWWl7 Correct me if I'm wrong, but image 2 in that listing looks like what you're looking for, afaik the seller is in Japan so shipping might not be as expensive for you, doesn't seem too bad to me... |
