Tried so many ways to print a cover with an inlay and no matter what I do the orientation is wrong and/or the images don't line up correctly...
I think I got it to work once but it was with generic paper which isn't good enough for me :d

Make sure you have centering on on both horizontal and vertical and make sure that the paper guide of your printer is firmly guiding the paper without any wiggle room.

And by orientation I assume you mean that the inlay is upside down compared to the actual cover?
You just have to learn how to insert the paper correctly back in the printer.

Paper quality has nothing to do with centering but some (most) better papers only have one printable side and trying to print to the other side results in bad looking cover.

You could of course do to separate prints and just put both (back sides facing each other) in the case.

Thank you for the answer.

Ima have to check the printing settings as I only checked the printing options on my computer and tried doing it many different ways.
the inlay is either upside down or facing the opposite way with one side having more space than the other. Just stood there for 4 hours trying to figure out how it could work but I got nothing lol

the inlay is either upside down
= Turn paper 180 degrees before inserting it to printer.

facing the opposite way with one side having more space than the other.
= Centering is probably off .

I actually had issues trying to print the inlays for some N64 covers as well.  My printer just didn't like the settings being tampered with.  I eventually ended up just printing the inlays on a separate sheet, cutting them and then placing it on the inside of the case and it ended up looking pretty nice.  Even opening and closing it multiple times you can't really tell it's a separate piece.  The additional weight also makes the case just feel a bit better in my opinion.

I'm using Red River Matte photo paper (1514) incase that helps.

Thx for the response. I might do this if I can't figure out how to do it on one sheet of paper.
