Fable 2 Limited Edition DLC?

Pages: (1/1)

juan0tron:

So I bought the Fable 2 LE used today, though it was missing the cardboard sleeve and DLC, of course. I heard that they accidentally didnt ship a few of the DLC codes with some of the LE's and offered a free email of the code to those who didn't get it. Does anyone happen to have a spare code lying around? All I have in return is a flaming warthog code for Halo Wars, but I hear they added that in the  game as an update later on... I dunno, I'll play Castle Crashers with you? Much thanks to anyone who does have it.The thing I hate about the digital age is that you can't sell LE conted along with your game so latecomers like me can use it 2 years down the line....

Unfortunately, that's the very reason why they do it. They need first-hand sales, as second-hand sales don't make them any money.

Except for the, ultimately useless, things like the Master Chief armour in Fable II, the companies usually release any 'packed-in' DLC later on for the people who didn't get the code.

juan0tron:

Yeah I figured that. Shamefully so I'm quite the collection whore so I like to have all the content unlocked from the start.
Also just learned that there's a GOTY edition for Fable 2 that could have saved me 17 bucks or so in DLC. I should return the game before it's too late...

I heard there was a dungeon or two in that LE DLC as well...

IMO the best way to handle secondhand sales was shown in The Saboteur and Mass Effect 2. It came free with the game but was available for a small fee if you happened to buy the game used. (Well at least for the Saboteur it was $3. Charging $15 for the Mass Effect DLC provider is a bit steep...)

One dugeon extra in dlc... its in the last town... in the water. It has a legendary weapon.... but its not that great.

Eh guess I'll never live my dream of pillaging towns as a faux master chief... At least I returned the game and got the GOTY edition because I forgot this game had one. Yoinked the LE disc though since Gamestop doesn't differentiate between the two anyway.
