Hey wow this is kinda cool, but my question is how well it works. The site claims "By using HD Xtreme, you can run your PS2 games from the harddisk/USB harddisk directly and reduce the game loading times sharply."

As we all know, the PS2 can have some pretty awful load times. How true is that statement that this thing cuts load times?

Been using that sometimes, haven't noticed reduced loading times.

For specific games, it does, though there's not a whole lot of games that work with it.

Personally I never thought the ps2 loading times were bad, seemed more than tolerable to me, especially compared to say, ps1 or sega cd load times.

I remember a few Capcom PS2 games taking advantage of the hard drive to reduce load times. Capcom vs SNK 2 was one of them, and I remember at least one Resident Evil title doing the same.

this software lets you put games on the hard drive and play them with out the disk.
I only tested it installing  Bully but it seemed to run ok .
neat idea if you don't want to swap disks just intsall them then keep the hdxtreme
disk in the ps2

I made it some time ago for myself. I don't think it is good enough to be post here (it is one of those gray area things anyway).
