Even though I think that the SNES has more epic games FF3, DKC, Zelda , etc.  The NES to me is my fav.
with  Games like Maniac Mansion , Uninvited, and Ultima Quest of the Avatar, they took many weekends of my childhood.
Even though my Atari 7800 was my first console my NES is what made me the
Hardcore gamer I am today.

You know I have a lot of fond memories of the N64, despite the fact that the SNES had more of my favorite games...

Even though in my collection it is dominated by NES games I would have to say the SNES is my favorite.  The list goes on forever of all the great games that still have really high replayabilty. The NES & N64 are a very close 2nd & 3rd for me though.  :)

yeah N64 is higher on my list than nes...

me and my buddy rented a japanese N64 a few months before it was available in the US, that was a blast.  no one at school believed us about a 3d mario game. we were branded liars until it finally came out. HAHA

The Nintendo Entertainment System. Your parents help you hook it up! The Legend of Zelda sold separately. Now you're playing with power!

Although my favorite retro system of all time is the Mega Drive the SNES is close in second.
2 + 3 = 23

Gotta go with what started it all- NES.  Metroid, Gradius and Mega Man- still some of the best games ever.

SNES all the way! The NES was my first selfowned console though and Mega Man 2 and especially Mega Man 3 belong to my all time favourite games. I got the NES for Christmas and didn't shut it off for weeks :) But I got it a tad late in the NES' life cycle, so I eventually sold it after about a year, bought a SNES with Super Mario World the same day and THAT was the kickstart to my gaming and game collecting carreer :) For me it's really SNES > all!

SNES all the way - so many late nights playing Street Fighter, Rock n Roll Racing, Super Tennis and Bomberman with my mates.  Back then i also had a super wildcard, so i could play all the games that didn't have a PAL release.  Stupidly sold that for next to nothing after i got a PS2.

I'm on my third SNES :) Sold the first one with about 25 games to get a PS1 with Battle Arena Tohshinden on launch day. The second one I sold to buy a Neo Geo CD. The third one is a keeper now. I'm holding on to that one, they sure as hell have to bury me with that thing. I have all the games I wanted to own back in the day when I was a kid and couldn't afford it and I'm only 15 games away from my own personal perfect set. Don't want to repeat myself but SNES > all :)
