NES - The Legend of Zelda - NTSC - Retail:

The Seal of Quality, Nintendo logo, and images on the back of the box are blurry. "Nintendo Entertainment System" on upper spine slightly disproportionate to other covers. Nintendo logo missing from bottom of spine (compared to all other Nintendo NES games)

NES - Zelda II: The Adventure of Link - NTSC - Retail:

The Seal of Quality, Nintendo logo, and images on the back of the box are blurry. "Nintendo Entertainment System" on upper spine slightly disproportionate to other covers. Nintendo logo missing from bottom of spine (Compared to all other Nintendo NES games)

I know that these two are being worked on (or at least they're going to be worked on soon). A lot of NES covers are getting overhauls.

The site used to have much lower quality standards than we do now (even if back then we were STILL better than the handful of other game cover sites). Those covers you talk about are from those days.

Hey again all,

I've noticed that the NA retail F-Zero X N64 cover could have it's colors touched up. The red bar on the back of the cover seems to be the correct saturation, while the rest of the cover is not.

Hey Brandon1090.

Any chance you can update the spine on your Cool Spot, Bubsy 1 & 2 and Kid Kleets cover? This is what I mentioned about how these would end up getting uploaded as a "Retail Cover" even tho the spine isnt exactly retail. You did a good job on the covers and it would be cool if they were 100% retail so theres absolutely no reason to ever update them again. If its 100%, you can get any better than that.

Actually I asked him precisly about that prior to me uploading them and he told me that all those spines are retail. I simply haven't got the time to check them for quality and double check if those are really completely retail. *sigh* He also gave me sooooo many covers which allready are on our site and even made by him again with no alteration. God knows why.

I'm the one who gave him the Bubsy, Bubsy II, and Cool Spot scans.  He made them 100% retail for me over the summer.  Here you go:

Unfortunately I'm almost always perfectizing covers prior to upload so even if those got retail spines now they aren't as clean and colorful as the uploaded ones which means no easy replacing....

Could you like take the front and back of the covers on site and spine from the linked covers?

Then you would only need to clean the spines if necessary.

Shenskes Starcraft cover is labeled as standard dvd instead of double wide. And Im curious why shenskes retail cover didnt replace vt102's custom cover for Neo Geo Battle Coliseum. Arent they exactly the same?

I guess you mean the7k's. I never made a Neo Geo Battle Coliseum cover. =)

And YES it looks like it did replace it. They have the same file name.
If you have nothing to do... Don't do it here!

Sorry I would've responded sooner but I just opened up this thread this evening.

I had originally sent Tik a link to a .zip folder that contained around 40 or so covers, all with the custom, uniform style spine. Soon after BadChad asked if I minded going 100% retail, I went through and updated them all, and re-uploaded the .zip folder to mediafire. I assumed Tik hadn't downloaded it yet since the download counter was still at 0, so I went ahead and updated the file thinking everything was fine. That was the only reason I PM'd Tik and said that the SNES covers were indeed 100% retail. It wasn't until I saw 3-4 of the covers uploaded to the site that I realized what had happened.

I sincerely apologize for the mix-up, and I've since sent the updated link to Tik for approval.

However, with that being said:

...He also gave me sooooo many covers which allready are on our site and even made by him again with no alteration. God knows why.

Actually, I'm quite certain there wasn't a single cover in that .zip that was already on the site, and if there did happen to be one that ended up in there by accident, it certainly wasn't as many as you made it out to be. There are quite a few vertical custom versions of retail styled covers I already have on the site, but I checked and double checked that before I even sent the original file. If I overlooked one in that original .zip file (long since deleted or I'd check myself) I do apologize, but I'm almost 100% certain they're all brand new.

Yeah both of those mistakes were my bad. Switching the case type is easy. I accidently named my NeoGeo game the same as the7k's so our system replaced his with a duplicate of mine. I'll pm snowcone about the mistake and pm the7k to get his cover back up.

Sorry about that guys
