Just curious, it sounds quite interesting ;) --- End quote --- It's a simple to follow organization scheme that automatically puts the games in order by company, then release date. It keeps all games in their proper order, so you know sequels will follow the previous incarnation, unlike the more common alphabetical order (which would put Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story before Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, and both would be listed before Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga). The only time this causes a discrepancy is when you have a rerelease of a game (such as Sonic Adventure DX, which was released after Sonic Adventure 2 Battle), and even then you can still argue that it's in a correct order, since it is in order of that version's release, not the original. I know it's an odd format, but it makes perfect sense to me, and I do keep certain game types separate (Handheld games are separate from disk based consoles, and both are separate from cartridge based consoles). My only real gripe with the system I have is that I can't use it for movie DVDs, since the UPCs for those appear to be completely random. I still don't see any conceivable pattern. |

I don't find it off-putting having Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time before Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, or UEFA Euro 2008 inbetween FIFA 08 and FIFA 09, or 2010 FIFA World Cup between FIFA 10 and FIFA 11. |
