Slim DVD Case Templates For Various Systems

I have too many PS2/Xbox/GameCube/Wii/360 games with little room to store.  If I could reprint say... 400 covers, then 200 thick boxes have now been removed & space has been created (woot).


What would be awesome is if there was a template (similar to hxxp://img355.imageshack.us/img355/7295/satslimmookyprekq6.jpg (html code allowed?) - Sega Saturn Template by Mookyjooky - that was also created for -

Xbox
360
Gamecube
Wii

All I am looking for is templates for Skin DVD cases.  Thanks again for your time!

i hear your pain, and am in process of recasing mine (slowly)

I created a photoshop template which had a custom spine, changable for whichever system, which broadly matches the genuine cases, and i copy/paste the regular front/back into it.  It's not editable enough to make it site worthy, but fulfills my purpose.






The reason I changed the saturn to have the name at the top is just so it looks more uniform - the top bar with the console name in my template remains the same size across all systems.  It has a box with the system logo, and the the system name.  Currently supports PS1, PS2, Saturn, XBox and i think i put gamecube in there - can't check at the moment, as recently had to fresh install windows and photoshop not re-installed yet...................

I'd probably use slim cases for a few of my games, but I always end up getting extremely low-quality cases.

Wish I knew where I could get some high-quality slim cases. My box set of Slayers Movies, for example, uses very high quality Nexpak slim cases - I'd use these for my games, if I knew where to order them. I tried Nexpak's site, but it's a labrinthy maze that seems to be targeted more at selling cases to businesses rather than regular people.

Thanks dejimus, I'll probably get on to ordering some of the NexPak stuff soon enough.

I've actually just made my own "Do-It-Yourself" ThinPak conversion template. Currently, all I've got in it is the Wii spine. I'll upload it once I've added a few more in there, like the ones you asked for.

Here ya go. Covers Saturn (Black & White), Dreamcast (Black & White), PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox360, Gamecube and Wii.

Nothing fancy, but it's not like it needs to be. Just copy the fronts and backs from fullsize cases into this, fill out the spine, and shazam.

Awsome 7k,  I may have to do this with wii and DC  and xbox .  I like the playstation covers too much though

Well, you can still make them look good, even in slim cases. I just converted 4 of my Wii games to slim cases (Fire Emblem, Mario Kart, RE4 and RE:Umbrella), and they still look pretty nice.

Instead of typing a name on the spine, however, I took the original spine logos and resized and/or rearranged them to fit the spine. I never really liked plain text on the spine, especially considering the spine is the part that is going to get the most eye time. I mean, I rarely pull out games just to look at their covers, but I always look at them on the shelves.

That's true, I still think ill hold off on my sony stuff ( I just finished getting rid of all mt greatest hits (ps2) and getting matching series covers... don't wanna redo them all again. When its a space isue I probably will.  Any chance you? Be uploading any of the wii titles you've done?

I am currently at college and I have work later (ha... story of my life...), so I cannot look at the PSD file right now, BUT THANK YOU!  From the feedback of others, they seem to like it very much.

I'll be doing that with XBox titles i think - but as PS1/2 EU just had plain text, i wanted them to look at least similar to the originals.  Put the developer logo on there to spice it up a little.

As for losing the charm - i agree somewhat, but it was either that or box them up and put them in the loft, which kind of defeats the object of having them at all.  Obviously still have all the original cases if i ever move to a mansion!!

Exactly!  I/We who have too many games still wish to have all out!  I wiill/have been storing the orginal cases in my closet, but even that has become a zoo!  Thank you very much for the templates!

Yeah... as much as I probably need to convert my Saturn games to slim (on account of having more Saturn games than anything else), I just can't bring myself to do it. Can't bring myself to do it with my Gamecube games either, considering I went through a lot of hassle to make sure I had proper Gamecube cases for all of them.

I'm thinking what I may do instead, to save space, is make make more compilation cases. For example, I may get a 4-disc DVD case, put my PS2 copies of Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, Capcom vs SNK 2 and Marvel vs Capcom 2 in it, and call it "Street Fighter VS."
