PS4 Case Insert Size Dimensions

PS4 & PS5 cases are not the same format as PS3/Blu-ray cases in regards to the cover inserts themselves, which are vertically wider than covers made to fit PS3 & Blu-ray cases. Therefore, I think there should be a new "PS4 case" selection made available in the "Case" field when uploading new covers. So far everyone uploading PS4 & PS5 covers have had to choose "Blu-ray case" which is inaccurate. True, both cases are made from transparent blue plastic, but they are essentially different cases altogether.

I myself design custom covers for both PS3 & PS4 games, and I would like to feature them and make them available for download here. However, I would like to have that issue corrected beforehand, if possible. Especially because my PS3 covers are designed to fit PS4 cases, and not PS3 cases. For anyone who prefers the newer PS4 cases over the older PS3 cases, and wants all of their PS3 games in their personal collection to match up with their PS4 & PS5 games.

Pretty sure you have that backwards. PS4/PS5 (and Xbox One/"Series") cases are the same size as Blu Ray movie cases (USA size anyway). PS3 cases are slightly thicker than US Blu-ray movie cases.

With respect, you may wanna reread what I wrote. Especially the very first sentence. I specifically said the PS4 cases are not the same "format" as Blu-ray cases. I never said anything with regards to the size of the cases themselves. I then went on to say that the "cover inserts" of PS4 cases are "vertically wider" than that of both Blu-ray & PS3 cover inserts. The operative word here being "cover" This is a site focusing on the covers, is it not?

Of course, I am well aware of the dimensions of the cases themselves. But I was/am not addressing the case sizes. I am addressing the sizes of the covers. The inserts that we're all here to feature. Covers specifically designed with dimensions accurate to those of a PS4 case sleeve will not properly fit into a Blu-ray case. Only a PS4/PS5 case. Right? Right. Therefore, I restate my case. (Pun not intended, but certainly welcome.)

There should be a PS4/PS5 case selection added to the Case field when uploading covers made to properly fit into a PS4 and/or PS5 case.

I can only speak of the case sizes, as I don't have any PlayStation past PS2. Sorry if I incorrectly assumed the sleeves matched the case sizes.

No worries whatsoever. And I appreciate the apology. Well, I have a lot of beautifully artistic custom PS3/PS4 covers to contribute to this site. But I won't bother if I cannot specify that the PS3 covers are dimensionally formatted to fit PS4 cases. And I certainly don't wanna have my PS4 covers labeled as being for Blu-ray cases. So is it too much to ask for 1 additional choice to be added to the Case field? Am I being unreasonable?

It’s not to much to ask, but it’s only the site owner (snowcone) who can do it.
