Attention cover creators! It's your ol' pal El Canuck here again. After scouring the N64 vertical list, I decided to take on the far more daunting task of giving the SNES vertical list the same treatment. I have no idea what's wrong with me either. Anyway, despite my apparent madness, I finished the audit. Unlike the N64 vert library, the SNES one is all but complete! Yep, 727 titles in the NTSC library, and only six have no vertical cover whatsoever. Of those six, two don't even have horizontal retail covers or raws, which might explain why there's no verts either. The others seem more plausible to be made by the awesome creative team here. So, much like the N64 bounty board, I'll list what's not made yet, with retails and/or raws to help make the process easier as I find them. If you know of any raws or retails I might have missed, do let us know. The list only includes the games that received regular release in North America during the SNES' life cycle. No aftermarket carts, PAL/Japan exclusives, PAL/Japan renamed titles, etc. There's an updated master list coming soon to the members section with all that included if you want to see what of those categories have no covers yet.
First up, for those who might need it, here's
The SNES Template! Now, onto the fun part:
The SNES Vertical Cover Bounty Board (6 covers remaining)1. Bass Master Classic Pro EditionRetail Cover2. Capcom's Soccer ShootoutUnfortunately, no raws or horizontal covers exist for this one that I can find. Best I can do is a link to
Moby Games' cover pics.
3. ESPN Sunday Night FootballRetail Cover4. Itchy & Scratchy Game, TheRaws5. S.O.S - Sink or Swim No raws or retail that I can find for this one, either. Again, here's a link to
Moby Games' entry on it, if for no other reason than to clear up confusion between this and the similarly named game by the Vic Tokai company.
6. War 3010Retail CoverBonus Fix-Ups!There were two covers that could both use some work. They're complete as NTSC verticals, but could use some sprucing up:
1. Incredible Hulk, The (Looks perfect, but the back cover is not done in template style. Not a deal breaker for me, but it might be for others)
Existing Vertical CoverRetail Cover2. NBA Live '95 (Parts on the back are blurry and there's an odd grey line on the spine's edge)
