Okay so, i've seen a few people here and there use 8 disc dvd cases for their games instead of UGC or customgamecase or any of those. They're all fine choices, and i used to want to use UGCs but with how low stock they were and now being discontinued, thats not an option. Right now im pretty sure i wanna go with 8 disc dvd cases for my cartridge games, however, i think ill need help with some of the stuff involving those, as right now i dont have my cartridge games with me, and just dont know some general questions.

First off, i just wanna know if there are any modifications necessary to these for games to fit. Specially NES. I think they all SHOULD fit? I just wanna make sure of it
Second, i wanna know if anyone here has any of these cases from https://www.checkoutstore.com/, since if you buy in bulk those seem to be cheap. If anyone here has some or has had some... are they good quality? i dont need them to be perfect, just good enough.
Lastly, if you think its worth it to use these... ill be taking on a project of making new templates with the correct size for games, i dont like images being stretched, so i would just need some help testing out sizes until we find the perfect one for all games. Id make everything publicly available, maybe make them a new standard since ugcs are now dead? Who knows.
Thats it

TL;DR: Does anyone have 8disc dvd cases from checkoutstore or some other place? ill need help regarding those for new covers

I haven't used the 8 disc cases myself so I can't comment on them.

However, I can comment on CheckOutStore.com.  I've bought from them many times and I've been very happy with their products.  But I will mention that there are a few instances where they offer different levels of quality.  I once bought some black single disc DVD cases from them.  They had an option that was much cheaper per case and I bought them.  Big mistake.  The quality was very poor.  I ended up ordering the higher priced cases and they were fantastic.  That was years ago, and I'm not sure if they offer different quality levels anymore, but keep an eye out when ordering to make sure you don't buy junk.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I use 8 disc DVD cases with 28mm spine.

Only modification needed to fit games including NES is removing the inner disc flaps/trays, and maybe cut away the disc holding things from the front and back.
The cases I use fit UGC covers as is.

Yes, ive heard about this in multiple places. It makes me a bit worried, since the 8 disc dvd cases dont seem to have a cheap or premium option so im not really sure about their quality, which is a shame

From my experience, if they don't offer cheap or premium options, it will probably be a premium type of case.  I believe they only offer cheap options on the stuff that sells in much larger numbers, such as black, single disc DVD cases or some CD jewel cases. I wouldn't be surprised that the 8-disc DVD cases are only available in premium.  You are probably safe to order them if that's the route you decide to pick.

Here: https://www.rivieramultimedia.co.uk/ but they seem to be seriously out of cases.
They seem to have replacement game cases but for DVD pretty much nothing.

Put something thin but hard between the sleeve and case to protect the sleeve and carefully dremel or knife the parts you want away.
It will leave a hole in the black part that is unavoidable with most cases, but once you put in the cover art it's fine.
You can of course put piece of plastic in the hole and tape it there but I think that is not necessary.

Ah, so the hole is unavoidable then? Alright, ill probably just put some black cardstock underneath if it looks bad. Thanks!

There are some rare cases (if you can find them. I've seen only few but price was ridiculous) where there is no disc holder on the front or back and thus there is nothing to cut away -> No hole.
But yeah unavoidable pretty much.

I actually saw them on checkoutstore! But they're much thicker, to the point where even with the disc tray games would fit, so i think ill stick to the 8 way dvd cases for now
