Hey all. I'm looking for a cover to fit a DVD case for the rare obscure musical RPG Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure for Playstation. For those who haven't heard of it, its defenetly an unexplored genre. While some of the game's songs are genunely AWFUL (search Youtube for Rhapsody's "Someday" to hear what I mean), the game is quite charming and worth a look. Thanks.

Hey if someone's willing to make me a cover, I'd be much obligied  :D

Hey by the way antony30bc, seeing as you have the cover for this game, I assume you own the game as well? What do you think of it? Personally, I think its somewhat of a chick game, but I enjoy it nevertheless...sorta like the anime cardcaptor sakura, more guys watch it than are willing to admit. Whats your take?

Oh and I know this is slightly off topic, but I'm hoping someone can give me some help. I bought my copy a while ago, and unforutntely whoever previously owned it scrached it so that whenever some of the songs play they skip and the game goes glichty. Is there anyway I can fix this, is there anyway I could burn it onto a fresh cd and play it on my PS2 (slim)? I know there's modchips to play pirated games, but I'm not too good with the whole "mod your system" thing. Is there anything I do or buy to make Rhapsody play properlly again?

You could resurface the CD.... Here in austria that costs around 3 Euro(5 dollars?) and the CD looks like new..... Ask your local video store they should be able to help you....

Honestly I never played it. I broke the shrink wrap to get your scans.

I am a big fan of the Shin Megami Tensei games, and by proxy with Atlus in general. Their games tend to end up on the rarer side so I grab them whenever I can. Sometimes I never get around to playing them.

GameQuestDirect struck a deal with several companies to re-release their popular yet rare games and Rhapsody happens to be one of them they sell.

I can get you a CD scan if it helps any, but without a modified system you cannot transfer to a new disc and play to my knowledge.

I never resurfaced a game but I heard it works pretty well for CDs and at $5 its worth a shot.

Thanks for the replies.

I've already tried the CD resurfacing, apparently the sraches are too deep for that to help, so they gave me the service for free. I don't like the idea of spending another $40 on a game I already own, so maybe my best option is to modd my PS2 so its capible of running burnt PS1 games. Is there any recommendations on modchips that are light on intillation hassles? I don't have a working PS1 or PS2 anymore, but my PS2 slim works just fine, so I'd need a modchip for that.

There are really no easy ways to go around modding your PS2.

The disc swaping system is not recomended as it will shorten the life of you unit, and the MOD chip way requires a lot if sodering.
If you are good at sodering GO THAT WAY!
If your nto good at sodering, then find someone who will doit for you. (I found a couple of people that offer the mod for around $50-$60 U.S. on http://www.craigslist.org/

http://www.modchip.com is a good place to look for mod chips
If you have nothing to do... Don't do it here!

Why should the disc swapping system shorten the life of your PS2??? After all that way you don't need to alter the inner circuits of your PS2....
Keeps the warranty intact and is simple to do.... BUT it just let's you play imports afaik... no cd-rs...

I don't know about the slim PS2 but disc swapping on a normal "fat" PS2 does indeed shorten the system's life span. You have to install a slide card which lets you pull out the PS2's disc tray to change the discs. I can imagine that's not too good for the engineering mechanics.

Jup that's right kaiser.... But on the slim you just have to install some thingys to deactivate the mechanism that checks if the disc tray is open or not....

Good to know. But too late :D
I wanted to mod my PS2 a while ago mainly to play all the import SNK fighters that didn't make their way to Europe. But then Ignition Entertainment brought most of the SNK games to Europe, and now with the Neo Geo games coming to the Wii's VC and the announced anthologies and collections for the Wii there's no need anymore.
