A 3D Visual Representation of Covers using HTML/CSS

Xander:
After making about 70 custom covers for my GBA collection, I thought it would be useful to be able to display all of the covers in a way that shows them off properly: the fronts, the spines, the backs.

It's still a work in progress, but since you guys are all the experts on covers, I thought I'd post it here to solicit your feedback.

It's graphically intensive, so forgive any slowness: https://codepen.io/Xand0r/full/xxEJoop

Thanks for looking!
TDIRunner:
That's pretty cool.  Looks like a solid collection of games too.

Thanks!

I'm glad you dig the collection. Game collecting is so innately physical, and aside from sharing pictures, it's sort of difficult to share a personalized collection with someone on the internet, so that's part of my goal with this experiment.

This is very very cool. I think it does exactly what you set out to do: be a sort of virtual library to gawk at (:P). Seriously though, it does a great job at both showing off the actual covers as well as give an idea of how they all look together. I know you've shared pictures of printed covers before, but IMO this does an even better job at showing the unity across spines, which makes it look very very nice indeed.

Nice recs, too. ;)

I'm glad the idea comes across! Did you happen to click on the secret « and » links? :D
