Do people remove the hanger tabs from their genesis cases to make them better fit on shelves? The tabs add space required and the little tabs can stick out visibly. I plan to put mine on the shelf and will most likely be buying some blank ones from customgamecases (which have the tabs) once they have the ones that fit the EA carts as well.

Seeing that they fold in on themselves, I leave them on.  Best to not remove something and then realize later 'doh!'.  However, a majority of the cases I own have already had the tab removed by the previous owners, so sail la vie.

For those not understanding, it's the little pegboard hanger tab OP is referring to (incase you have never saw a case with them already on there)

I don't remove them, but if they are gone when I buy them, I don't care enough to be bothered by it.  As far as the extra height is concerned, it's never been an issue for me.

I mainly ask because I am building my own media shelving to be the exact depth of my game cases and each shelf has 8" of space (20.32 cm) so I don't want the tabs to make it so they can't fit.

Like it was said the tabs fold down so no extra height.
