I don't think there's a lot of collectors here who have much of anything pre-atari, that's probably a big reason why. I could be wrong though.

too bad, the artwork on the cover is still breath-taking, despite the very bland pixels of most games.

Does anybody know if the Odyssey 2 games fit inside the UMC's?

Until Dec 29th I only have 1 UGC(with no sleeve) and it definitly fits (not snug) O2 games. I will have 100 with sleeves soon, so I hope the sizes haven't changed. I have made the only 3 cases i need. would anyone like to see them?

here is the last one i created, since i couldn't find any BOX scans, i had to scan a Catalogue entry for the pics and info. I also livened up the bland white with some colors

this is the 2nd Odyssey 2 cover i've made, but the first made WITH the template that i built based on the Monkeyshine! cover. These are all designed to fit in a Universal Game Case
you can ignore the personal info...i just didn't want to leave blank space.

and this took forever to upload to a place to show you guys, but here it is:
"This is the 1st cover i made for Odyssey 2 games. I had to completely figure out what kind of spine i needed based on a pic on Flicker of a box of games, some on their side. I used scans from Moby Games site, but they suck, so i had to fix them...alot. From this, i made a template for future games."

These are not perfect but if you want to put them on this site, i can send them to you in full size (300dpi). I have never submitted before, but would love to be worthy one day. Maybe at least with RAW scans.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but just by looking at the covers I can tell they cant be hosted on the site.  The images look to be very low quality (99% of everything at moby is a low quality scan) and the black portions from the scans and black bar you used for the spines and other spots are vastly different. The scans seem to be pretty rough from what I can see even in the smaller preview images you shared.

From what I can tell it looks like you made the cover in MS Paint which is not a suitable cover making program. Even in the highest resolutions MS Paint lowers the images to 96dpi automatically.

I don't mean for this critiquing to be negative to you in any way, i'm just letting you know why it would not be hosted on the site. We have very strict standards for the site and we really want to have the same quality for all of our covers.  We do appreciate the time you put in to make the covers too and possibly with better scans in the future we could host some Odyssey2 Covers.  Problem is they are very hard to come by considering the game's age.

I used PhotoFiltre because it's free and fairly good (i used to think it was everything, but the more i've been playing with it to make covers i can't find, the more i find it has limits)
I wish i could afford the PSD program. Yeah, i used Moby for Monkey sHines, but then i scanned the old little catalogue that came with my Odyssey system for the OUT OF THIS WORLD scan.
i definitely need to clean the images up, since the black is inconsistant, i noticed.
But, hey, it's just an idea, i made them for myself to use. I should totally go back and perfect the black because when i print these on the laser printer, the small details really REALLY stand out in print.

Is there a "Not Good ENough" site for covers that don't make the cut? there are so many games i have that just don't have covers, and it takes forever to make them each time...and i don't mind it, but i HATE re-inventing the wheel if they are already made somewhere.

I have 19 odyssey 2 games in Boxes.  The boxes would require some touching up but they are not in bad shape.  Unfortunately they are in storage.  If I ever did them up, I will scan them in.

I have been looking at rebuilding some covers for the E.U version of this system (Videopac) for a while but put the thing on hold because of the lack of decent scans to work with. I will dig it out and have another crack at it, see if we cant get a template for Videopac/Oddysey 2 going.

Monkeyshines! (NTSC/U.S)

Ok...firstly, its not an exact 1 for 1 remake of an original case. Scans of even average quality are almost non-existant so its all rebuilt from scratch. The only remaining part of an actual cover is the Gorilla head on the front. I matched the fonts as best i could and copied as much from the original as i could find decent replacements for. The spine is a bit of an issue as i have only a very small picture to try and match with. This could be a working template BUT because the available scans are pretty crappy, its going to be difficult to make these of a good enough quality.

One major irritant with this is the poxy Odyssey logo and that '2' in the top right corner of it. It throws the logo off center. If you try to center the words, the '2' looks odd so it has to be as it is now. Mind you, that's how Magnavox/Philips have it so...
