The next Analogue system will play TG16 and PCE games including all CD games and SuperGrafx.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

That's pretty cool and a great price!

Kinda hoped for N64 but there isn't yet FPGA for it.
I guess I'll get this too.

But as this has CD drive maybe Analogue releases other CD based consoles as well like Mega SG CD of their own.

This looks incredible!  And with the cost of getting a working turbo duo, the price isn’t bad either.

I was thinking the same.  The CD part is huge because it means they are officially no longer limiting themselves to cart based systems.

It seems like this is arguably the best value for your money compared to the other consoles they have released.  It's also the first time that they have offered a console for less money than the going rate of the original hardware.

TBH I want to see the number of consoles the plan to produce. If it is some stupid low run like 2,000 worldwide, I will let the scalpers have their fun.

Won’t happen for a bit, as their are some active patents on the N64 still. I’m sure the FPGA setup is well under way though, if not complete and waiting for the patents to expire.

2,000 would be impossible. They would lose massive amounts of money at such a low volume.
