...mainly because when cased and properly oriented, the spine is on the bottom. I keep thinking it would be better if the spine was on top instead.

Of course this is a minor annoyance at best and I'm not trying to say we should change it or anything (I can fix them up myself if I really wanted to before printing, not that I really want to even.)

Does anyone else feel this way at all?

I think it's how the original boxes are. Blame Nintendo.

They had spines on both sides I'm sure. I mean, they were cardboard boxes after all.

I'm with AppleQueso on this one. I ended up rearranging all the covers so that the spine would be at the top the box for all my Super Nintendo games.

All of my covers are as retail as they get....

I can assure you that they are oriented as they were on the original boxes....

Mind if I ask what's on the opposite side of the original boxes then?

Original boxes for the N64. I've seen some, but it's been a while. The same spine design, obviously, flipped around. Whether that brings the logo to a different place verticall, I don't remember.

I don't think everyone's on the same page here.
What AppleQueso is trying to say is, when the cover is flat, the 'bottom' of the front cover is up against the spine. S/he prefers the 'top' of the front cover to be up against the spine. So, for a PAL N64 game, for example, it would be using, in effect, the purple spine, instead of the green spine.

I'll try using an actual picture to show it. Take this GoldenEye cover:

http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=6509

See how the front cover is "facing" the spine, with 'GoldenEye 007' closest to the spine? AppleQueso would prefer the top of Pierce Brosnan's head to be up against the spine.

I have a couple of N64 games in their original cardboard cases, Conker & Ogre Battle 64, and neither have the N64 logo up top. Both the green & purple sides of the spines have the N64 logo on the bottom, or aligned the same way, if you will.

not sure why people are so confused about this.

take one of our N64 cases in a UGC - balance it on your desk so that you are looking at the front cover, the right way up.  You will be balancing it on the spine - the people above want to be balancing it on the other edge, with the spine towards the ceiling.

Yes, exactly. Didn't realize it was so difficult to grasp :/
