| Mini Box Project using box protectors (UGC / CGC alternative) |

Since there has been a lot of talk about UGCs recently and people looking for alternatives (Although CGC are great IMO and worthy of the cost), I wanted to bump this little project back up if anyone wanted to try it out for themselves. This is a "mini box" project I did and how I ended up boxing all of my NES, SNES, and N64 games. There have been other people that have done this too so I am not claiming to have come up with the idea. This might not be for everyone (see notes) but it might be a good alternative for some. Notes: - While the SNES and N64 boxes scale pretty good, the NES is off and has to be cropped in some way. It's not ideal in all cases but it works with some ingenuity. - Manuals don't fit. This was really kind of true for UGCs also though. Personally, if I have a manual for a game in one of these cases, I just have it in a binder with other manuals. - You will want to get the cart boxes from Video Game Box Protectors and not Retoprotection. Why? The boxes are made different. VG Box Protection offer NES and N64 boxes that open on the "short end" of the box. I believe both offer the correct SNES boxes.
