The street date is today but depending on the Gamestop (and the title) they may or may not get the title on it's street date. A lot of releases we get at the Gamestop I work at we get the day after street date

Off topic i know but im just wondering about trade ins 'over the pond' ;). The big game outlets here(Game and Game Station) have stopped taking anything older than Xbox/GameCube/PS2 now and even they are thin on the ground in my local stores. Is the same true over there? Mind you, they allways have stuff on release date, as do ASDA etc with the big titles, though others seem to be the day after.

Gamestop will not take:
- Anything prior to the PS2/GCN/XBOX generation
- exception being select high volume stores (less than 5 nationwide) actually do carry older games
- Anything from the original XBOX period
- Any guitars, drumsets, drummania turn-table (not sure about DJ hero turn-table)
- Any GB and/or GBC games and accessories
There may be more things but thats just off of the top of my head

The local Game Crazy near me just told me they stopped accepting GBA games as well. They didn't happen to have the game I wanted but thankfully when I went to the Gamestop down the street they said they were still accepting them on account that they were small and people still have tons. Off-off-topic but damn Pokemon Emerald still goes for 30 bucks? Thank god I got that for free...

The Gamestop I work at no longer takes Xbox or Gamecube games. The good thing is that this has gotten me a few free GCN and Xbox games. The bad news is that all of them are pretty mediocre, and now they're just taking up space.
